Postby trlewis35 » Mon Jan 14, 2019 1:59 pm

Can anyone give me an approximate on of pocket cost for Dr.Eid to perform implant surgery? My insurance doesn't cover it.

$26,875 to be exact. I just had out of pocket surgery with Dr Eid in December. This includes his fee for pre-op and surgery, device cost, anesthesia and surgical center. Doesn't include cost of travel, hotel etc.

Wow, I figured being one of the top doctors and being in NYC it might push $50k! I can afford that price. How long since your surgery?
Thanks,
Tom

Another question, how long did you have to wait to get the surgery done?

If you can afford it then I highly encourage you to see him. He and his team were excellent. I scheduled ahead about two months and had surgery on 12/19/18. I needed to do it during the holiday so I don't know if I could have gotten an appointment sooner than two months if I had wanted it sooner.

Often, E.D. is the trigger for a man's mid-life crisis. Some men buy a muscle car to compensate. At today's prices, an implant is quite the bargain! You think?

Haha! Forget the big truck, I'll have the big dick instead! For half the price...

With medicare I can afford both the dick and the truck, I'm thinking Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. :)

Tom, I had my surgery exactly one year before purcelldds in 2017. I scheduled out three months so I had flexibility to arrange travel and hotel. Dr Eid's office won't schedule you until your labs and cardio clearance are approved, then you can pick an actual surgery date. Contact his office to get things started and they will email you the lab orders for blood work and ekg, a very streamlined process.

Wow that is cheap. I just got the bill that my insurance paid to move my pump. This was a very quick simple procedure in and out. If I added right more than 80,000.00.

Wow! Some insurance companies negotiate prices WAY down from the original billing level. Is there any indication of "reduction to customary" or something like that? The figures may be well-hidden or perhaps not even revealed on the bill you get to see.
