Partners of ED also suffer

Postby Lost Sheep » Wed Nov 15, 2017 12:13 am

Recent posts on DaveKell's thread, "Signing Off" suggest to me that a section of the forum devoted to providing a safe and welcoming forum for discussing the areas of relationships indirectly affected by ED and the aftermath of treating the condition.

This might be particularly for partners of members to share their thoughts, feelings and solutions.

Recovery from ED does not stop when erections are restored. Reconstituting the relationships damaged by ED is also a concern of the members.

What would you think about a section entitled, "Partners of ED also Suffer" or something of the kind?

Thanks for reading.

I wonder how many wives are like mine. 24 rears ago we married late (me 50, she 47) and had a satisfactory sex life. But when ED joined the party she patiently, but not eagerly, went through the years of fumbling around with the usual list of remedies but was not in the least disappointed when the whole enterprise came to an end. A couple of years later I got the implant, but nothing had changed for her. She was, and remains, perfectly happy without sex, as am I.

Bldoink,
The world's greatest psychologists and therapists combined could not come up with a better recipe for mental health and happiness than the wisdom that is contained in the serenity prayer. I'm not religious and don't believe in prayer, but I know first hand how much harm we can do to ourselves and others when our actions and thoughts ignore its great truths.

Bldoink,

I like Camus' take on Sisyphus. "The struggle itself ... is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy".
Married 50+ years. Use VED for sex and do
daily exercises with both water and vacuum pumps.

I'd have no problem with a sequestered area which makes the rest of the forums Not Accessible, and suggest it be separated by straight vs gay. There is another thread similar to this recently.
