Medications forum ?

Just a quick question / suggestion from a nube.

On the forum Board index main page
I see sub-forums for most of the main "treatments" for ED :
Pumps
Injections
Implants
Penile Physical Therapy

but do not see one for oral meds / herbals or new emerging treatments ( shockwave ) etc.

I know most folks will have tried or try the standard ED meds ( viagra, cialis, levitra ) or their generics but was wondering if a specific sub-forum for these separately would be an idea ?

You can find plenty of herbal stuff all over the web, including all kinds of claims of effectiveness. It's a swamp out there - others might disagree, but I don't think it should be dignified by giving it a special place on FrankTalk. If these substances actually worked, doctors would be well aware of them and would be suggesting them to their patients.

and sure as hell NOT selling it .

I have western medical training, acupuncture and herbal training and I ONLY use evidence based medicines. My suggestion still applies to the standard ED meds as listed, but I was also interested in a new product which has received a Health Canada approval as a natural medicine called Regalia C-191.

I wanted to know if others have experience or research about it OR we had a place here in which to discuss it.
I have not researched it, but WILL definitely post my 2 cents when I know all the facts.

I also realize you folks here don't really know me yet, but let me share with you my philosophy of online information in general ... especially "internet miracle cures"

I mod and admin a cancer support forum and believe me my friend, we have seen EVERYTHING over there as far as whacked out promotions and junk science.

I support this, and did a recent inquiry also, as drugs are the gateway to ED treatment for almost all. Square one. On Rx drugs, why not learn about the uses and pitfalls and new info. For example some current Uro advice to use low-dose Cialis as a prophylctic/PT base even with other treatments. How long can you lay off drugs to re-establish some degree of Rx drug efficacy since PGE is implicated in DE?? Now that drugs have gone generic, who has the best prices and service of the half-dozen who advertise. Do we all have to do the research? No different than folks asking about price, dose and source for injectables or what dick pump to use. And what better crowd to evaluate with a critical and honest eye evaluations on supplements and OTC solutions. I've had subtle but good luck with a Horney Goat Weed product. Sure there is the web reviews and we know how reliable that is with vendor bots. And for the naysayers, the cool part is that if this folder does not apply to you, then you DON'T have to peruse it. I don't peruse several here as N/A. Actually I find it incredulous that this topic does not have a folder.

I feel like there should be a folder for people to discuss ED meds, herbs, supplements, or vitamins that may have helped them. Just because doctors are not aware or promoting them don't mean they don't exist. Most of us are aware of products(snake oil) on the net, which is exactly WHY there should be a folder on a forum for men suffering with ED. I'm sure most of us have tried some of the crap being sold on the net. Desperation makes you kind of stupid sometimes. To be honest I've tried some of the "snake oil" on line, and none of it has worked and I wont try anymore, but if someone on this forum told me about something that worked for them(without trying to sell me anything) I would more than likely give it a shot.
