Malleable Section

Postby thedriver » Tue Feb 27, 2024 6:35 am

Could the site possibly do a malleable sub section under the implants section ?
Not much info, on the malleable here.
After 4 Titan IPP failures within 4 years I finally wised up and went to the Malleable Genesis 23cm- 13mm implanted 2-1-24 and no regrets so far.
For those that are asking, I'm going to change the wifeys avatar weekly.

I think that would be great so we would not have to hunt and peck through posts to find any info on the mallabble implants.

Agreed
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled for Coloplast Genesis 5/19/25

I have some recent information from my Dr. on the mallabble, I sent an email on here asking how I start a new posting on it and never received a reply.

It makes sense to have a separate section for malleable implants. While they were developed before the inflatable types, malleable implants have never caught on as much as the inflatable ones, for some obvious reasons. However the early models have now been replaced by much more sophisticated versions.

Malleable implants are common in many countries outside the U.S. The lower cost, simpler surgery and decisions made by countries with national health insurance are reasons.

The new generation of malleable implants is so much improved that they deserve more attention. For guys receiving their first implant or a revision, consideration of a malleable wound make sense!

A malleable section would look at cost, recovery, function, satisfaction, and complications. Living with a malleable implant does involve some adaptation. Hearing from guys who are living with them would be especially helpful.

it would be good to continue with this thread, never let it die, let's start with photos and posts of the malleable brothers, the rest will come by itself, other malleable brothers who post little or never will surely be added, and new people interested in the malleables
