Requiring Sign On in the Middle of a Draft to Submit

Postby KenJ1947 » Thu Sep 03, 2020 3:35 pm

MANY TIMES I have written long personal messages. By the time I'm ready to submit and I click submit, the sign on page comes up and I lose all that I have written. I just spent 45-60 minutes writing a personal message and I lost it because of the doggoned time limit. It's happened several times before. I know I could have copied and pasted it, but I just haven't "learned" to live with it. Can't a warning to save it before going to sign on?

Yeah that is super annoying when that happens. I will often hit “save draft” if I am writing something long too. But a warning would be nice.
40 y/o straight married guy with supportive wife. Slowly progressive ED from venous leak since adolescence. Pills were a godsend for years, now as the efficacy fades, I am wading into the land of injections and implant

You could also compose your post in Notepad or other tool and then copy/paste it to the edit window.

That has happened to me in the past and, in addition to the tactics suggested by dg_moore and otter17 (which I know I should use, but often don't) hitting the "Back" icon in my web browser often will save the day for me by bringing back the page on which I was composing my message/post. Then, I can highlight and copy it to a word processor (notepad, wordpad, etc) to prevent loss.

Thanks. I discovered the back trick after getting caught one more time. However, it didn't help that last time. Using the word processor is a good idea for longer posts.
