Well it's done. Implanted today by Dr. Eid . Back at hotel with some discomfort but not what I would call pain. Iced up watching tv. Thanks to all you guys for your support and knowledge. Don't think I could have done this without Franktalk. More to come. Steven

Did you have the spinal or general anesthesia? What model, size, and RTEs did you get? How long before your catheter comes out? I hated that damn Foleys catheter. That first pee after the catheter was a memorable event.

Dr. Eid implanted an ams lgx 18 cm with 1 cm rte. Catheter came out the third day, I found it to be no big deal. Very little pain overall. Home now and about to cycle for first time. I am not looking forward to this as it did sting when we cycled in the office yesterday. Walking bowlegged but other than that I'm feeling fine.

WOW... there is no way in hell that my doctor could have convinced me to cycle on the fourth day... holy, you are the man... :)
