I've decided to post my progress as others have done before me, with pics as well. The photo above was taken the night before my surgery. I had a series of tests, some because I am diabetic. Had an EKG, Echo Cardiogram, plenty of labs, which is typical and an exam from my family doctor. Once they all agreed I could proceed, things started moving pretty fast. I had my surgery on Monday afternoon, 7 Nov 11, and it was about 2.5 hours according to my wife. I got the AMS700 LGX implanted and so far, so good. The doctor told me everything went according to plan. I spent the night in the hospital because I had a drain and had to have 3 antibiotics administered via IV. The following pics were taken on Tuesday, 8 Nov, after I got home from the hospital.

I told my doc when i saw him that I liked the girth and he laughed and said that was due to swelling. Oh well... So a week after the implant, I must start pulling down on the pump and make sure it stays put. Two weeks after, I will see the doc and start cycling it, but deflating and inflating it...that's intended to keep fibrosis from forming. The incision just above my penis is where the pump, reservoir and cylinders were inserted. the reservoir is place just behind my abdominal wall and the pump is in my scrotum, placed between my balls. I can feel it, but once the swelling is gone, it shouldn't even show. I'll post about once a week as things progress. I'm taking two 325mg of Hydrocodone/acetominophen 5 every 4 hours for pain. Will probably take less starting tomorrow, hopefully. also take an antibiotic to help ensure there's no infection. I'm told I can't use it until 4-6 weeks after the implant.

Steve;

Thanks for sharing. Looks as though you have done well. The pics remove mystery and show that medical science and a guy's willingness to cross over and become bionic produce good things.

Heal well and keep us posted. There are fun times ahead.

These 3 photos were taken on day 5. A remarkable improvement over the previous photos and so far today, I haven't taken any paid meds. The swelling has gone down considerably and the bruising too. On Monday, I'm supposed to begin pulling down on the pump...it's not visible, but I can feel it in there. I know that's gonna be uncomfortable, but you have to do it to keep it where it belongs or it'll wanna migrate upward toward the reservoir in your abdomen. Thus far, I'm a happy camper.

Well, today is day 8. I pulled down on my pump for the first time today. Was gonna do it last night, but wanted to wait till morning. It didn't get any easier by waiting. My scrotum is small, so it's kinda crowded in there. It feels like the pump is bigger than my balls. It wasn't hard to find the top of the pump to grab hold of, but I don't know if it pulled down or not. It doesn't seem to have moved since surgery, so that's OK. I still have some scrotal swelling, but it's much better. My cock is pink and looks like nothing happened to it, except that it's semi-rigid right now. Next Tuesday, I see the doc and he'll begin me cycling it...pumping it up and deflating and pumping again, etc. That's one of those things where you're anxious to do it, but know it's gonna hurt like hell. Last night, I wanted to sleep in my bed for the first time since surgery...been in my lounger. I slept on my back most of the night, but at 3 am, I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. So I went on my side...that wasn't too good, as my balls were being squeezed, so I put a pillow between my knees and that provided relief. It may not be big, but it's gonna be bionic real soon. Wahoo!

Thanks a bunch for documenting this. Guys need this for decision making. And a picture IS worth a thousand words. I predict good days ahead for you and your new toy. I already enjoyed my toy 3 times today. And it is only mid-day. :oops:

Larry ~ Your implant is the same day I go see my uro to begin my cycling. I'm excited to have it fully inflated, though I also understand it's gonna smart a bit. I hope you'll heal as quickly as I have. I'm now at day 9 and am feeling better than I could have hoped. Good luck with your surgery It truly will be Thanksgiving for you.

Hello Steve,
Got final confirmation this morning. I will be leaving Chattanooga at 9 AM on the 22nd and will be checking in at 11:30; procedure at 1:30. If all goes well I will be back in Chattanooga by 10:30 on the 23rd. I too hope all goes as well as yours. That's my goal anyhow.

Thanks and best regards
Larry
