I have the operation of the pump a few subjects down from here. Pictures too. They came with my AMS kit from my surgeon.

I have heard using a heating pad on your scrotum helps loosen it up.
Lay a heating pad on it for 10 minutes see if it is softer
I mean in the end it is a plastic ball, heat should make it more malleable.

Report back if that works.
I'm a couple weeks from inflating but I got a heating pad specifically because I read it helps lol.

They're like $15 on Amazon if u don't have one. They're probably at a local Walgreens or target too.

Good luck!

My first pump was as hard as a rock, too. It took about three months before just one or two quick squeezes would deliver the "pop" indicating it was in inflation mode.

My new pump (December revision) is MUCH softer. I get the pop first time, every time, and the bulb is much easier to squeeze. I'm surprised there would be so much variation.

Anyway, I think if you keep working at it it will loosen up.

Is this why Dr Kramer is installing the “legacy” pump w the Titan?

just a little to add, I have been using a heating pad on my lap every day the last 3-4 days and yesterday while pulling down on my pump to make sure it heals in the right position, I did pinch the bulb a little and it was pliable. I didn't actually pump it, but I think the heating pad has helped it be more squeezable. We'll see how squeezable it is on my first inflation on the 22nd. :D

Looks like most of us had the same experience with the pump. When I first tried pumping, I was squeezing so hard without any give, I was worried that the darn thing might burst. Eventually, I was able to squeeze the bulb and obtain erection. After a while up to ten pumps. Presently, 7 months later, 100. Mine is maxed out I think. I am squeezing but no more activity in my shaft. No pain either. I am disappointed because I was hoping it will add another inch - in length. I maxed out around 4 inches in length. If I measure from the base of balls 4.5 inches. Girth=5 inches.

Keep on pumping - it will give. I know it can be frustrating.

Is there any reason these pumps are so darn hard to use? Is it the same for both AMS and the Titan?

At 9 weeks I have never been able to do a “wall to wall” pump but the pump does work fine with it taking around 15-20 pumps (half pumps) for me to have a great stiffie. Beyond that I can get another 6-8 pumps (half pumps again) in and I’m maxed out. Not sure if the pump will soften over time but I’m ok with it as it is. Might be an issue if I were to lose any finger dexterity in the future tho. Mind you I think the Titan is a different beast to the AMX versions from what I see on FT
Now Implanted 9/12/17. 52 years old with ED for over 20 years. Tried all the pills and injections. Update. Implanted with Titan 22 + 1. by DR Ralph Dec 9th London. Now in recovery and at 3 months feeling the journey was worth the pain.

I think that it is only "so darn hard to use" in the beginning -- it becomes easier as you and the pump "get to know each other." ;)
I think it has to do with the mechanism that prevents accidental inflations.
