My Titan Coloplast Implant Journey

I'm retitling this post (and copying from my earlier one) because I am going to keep updating it going forward since it sounds like that's useful for others.

@ DAY 14 post-surgery

PROs:

* Already able to fully pump it up for a powerful erection, much sooner than I expected
*Was back at work on Day 6, and off all pain meds but Aleve by then
*Other than a general aching in the scrotum, shaft and head, the pain is very tolerable
* Masturbated once already (somewhat painfully) to make sure all the plumbing still worked and it did indeed
* Erect penis still looks like the original one as I remember it
* It really will be erection on demand with no more fear about pills not working or what I might have eaten or how far in advance I need to plan for sex

NEGATIVES:

* Those first few recovery days were BRUTAL; seriously rough
* Even though I already fully inflate and deflate it, my cock remains in a semi-erect state all the time (and again, this when fully delated); the urologist assures me this will go down as everything stretches, so I'm taking his word; have to be careful when standing up at work and in front of people
*Lost maybe 1/2 inch in length, but don't mind too much given the great erection, and thickness
*The pump really sticks out of the bottom of my scrotum, much more than expected, especially if I'm lying down. Any sexual partner I fear is going to notice and I'll need an explanation. This is my singlest biggest concern right now. Surgeon has said it could be repositioned in a couple months but that would require cutting one of the tubes to shorten it, and that can affect the duration of the implant.

Day 15

Took a long bath last night and pumped it up 16 times. It really is an amazing erection I have to say. It didn't yet have an impact on my glans but the glans doesn't look shrunken or anything. It looks like it did when pills were really firing on all cylinders, except the head isn't as engorged.

I left it pumped for about 10 minutes, then it really started aching especially the head. Deflating is still a bit of a challenge and hurts my nuts when I'm fumbling around to do it. Need to start with two hands then take off one eventually to really squeeze my shaft to get it down. Still doesn't look fully deflated at the end, kind of semi-erect I'd say.

Sounds normal on all counts. Your titan will expand in all directions as it breaks in. It'll soften up somewhat soon. Your pump will get easier to use as it breaks in too. If your glands aches when u r fully pumped, the tips are well up in your glands and working against remaining tissue and swelling. It's all still healing and breaking in. Your measurements are being taken against the backdrop of swelling, healing and stretching. Glands engorgment is usually somewhat different after surgery...but not always. The pump in your scrotum will be well hidden when aroused and tightened up. Relaxed after sex and when loosened is another story. While your new penis is a bit different to you, your partner will see it as normal. No two look exactly alike...even if they are both yours. Haha. Everything sounds about as good as it gets. So heal up and honor your manly obligations!

Haha, thanks very much @Robocock. Really appreciate the comforting words. I have a hunch I'm really gonna love this thing. Just being single still I'm a bit self conscious of how I'll explain the pump to anyone who feels it right away. I'll have to get a bit creative unless with someone I want for the long-term.

I remember fumbling around with my ex the first time and feeling the coil or some kind of contraceptive implant finger deep inside her which you can’t feel if you penetrate with your dick. I don’t know the name of it. My knowledge in this area is limited.

Point is, I felt a foreign body. At first I was like, hmmm what’s that. But within seconds I forgot about it and enjoyed her. I always knew it was there but she was the best sex of my life.

We seem to view these implants as though they are something potentially to be ashamed of. But we as humans augment our bodies in so many ways and it will only increase. She had a contraceptive device which is rotated monthly. Patient X has a pacemaker. Patient Y has a prosthetic limb. Patient Z has a stoma.

Any educated, or forget that, good, understanding person worth a damn will not be bothered by your implant at all. If it’s a one night stand, if they ask, then just say whatever and they’ll accept and move on to suck you off anyway. But the likelihood is that they won’t ask.

Try not to fret about it and enjoy your new found prowess.

I don't understand why there are so many problems with the Coloplast pump. It seems like it should be the easiest part of the procedure. The pump comes already preinstalled. Of course, I'm not a Doctor, but it would seem that they just drop it in the scrotum and it's done. I understand that there are differences in anatomy but how many people are completely happy with the location of their pump? I'm missing something here.

I think the answer has to do with the tubing, size of scrotum skin and testilces, etc. They can't just drop it in or the tubing would be a mess and stick out and be very noticeable physically during sex. Having said that I'm still not happy with my positioning.

General Update:

Day 20:

I'm getting much more comfortable pumping it up, and have done so out of the bath and left it pumped up for well over 20 minutes. It's a pretty incredible feeling having a rock hard erection so easily (I've pumped up to 30 times). It also has gained some more in length. I need to remeasure, but last I did it was where the doctor said it would be. I think it's gained a bit.

The glans isn't dilating like it did before if I was jacked up on viagra but it doesn't look out of place easier. I'm the only one who would notice.

At the risk of too much information, I"ve masturbated every day for the past 5 days. It's pretty darn sore (not pain but a deep ache) afterward, but makes me feel like a teenager again. It's incredibly sensitive too, like all the pleasure nerves are being pushed outward. I suffered from venous leakage so the fact that I can jerk off and just enjoy the full erection and not watch it collapse back into flaccid state without major stimulation is really powerful. Can't wait until I can try sex.

I still look pretty semi-erect in the flaccid state. I went to Florida for the weekend this weekend and was really uncomfortable in a bathing suit and wore a jockstrap underneath to keep it in place. At one point a couple of my buddies joked that I was looking 'happy' so I kept a towel around or was super careful after that. Hoping it mellows with time. Folding the shaft down over my balls is still too uncomfortable to force into that position for too long, and in tight pants it looks pretty obvious. Note to self: No tight pants for a while.

I was kinda worried about going through airport security with a group of friends, but fortunately I had TSA pre-check so didn't have to go through the body scanner. Still not prepared for that when it happens when I'm traveling with friends or colleagues.

The pump is still pretty uncomfortable and sticks out too far downward. Don't think that is going to change, but the discomfort should vanish I'm confident. Pumping it up is pretty easy but does take both hands. Deflating is painful. Pressing down on it I always feel like I'm compressing a vein or something else that hurts. That and from pumping into the shaft head is where the ache comes from. Aleve tackles it pretty well, and I'm almost down to none at all except after deflating or jerking off.

Hope that 's helpful.

Day 21:
SInce someone asked, here are a couple photos from today. It's definitely aching after pumping about 35 times. Hot baths definitely still help, and I'll need 2 Aleve for bed. Size-wise, I measured 6 and change today and girly 5.25, so it's stretching since first inflation. Time to deflate. It's starting to get really uncomfortable.

I am at 3 months post-op and any discomfort I felt at first is gone. I hope the same happens for you soon.

Greg, when did the pain stop for you? What I'm now finding is that the skin of my scrotum is really sore, not just where the incision was but all over. I think it's from pumping and deflating, especially deflating. I feel like I need to take a couple days off from inflating and deflating once a day (I'm at 3 weeks + 2 days post implant) to let the area calm down.

Many thanks.
