Bruising and swelling after receiving implant

Postby MikeAN » Fri Nov 03, 2017 1:11 pm

I received my implant on November 1st. Over the past two days bruising and swelling have evolved. Affected areas include scrotum, penis and pubic bone region.

For those of you that have received implants what was your intial bruising and swelling history like?

My scrotum was the size of a softball and my entire pelvic region was black and blue.

Ask your doctor for a strong prescription grade anti-inflammatory in addition to icing. For me, it took 2.5 weeks for the scrotum swelling to resolve. For the bruising, it'll take a while, may be 4+ weeks.

I had little swelling and no bruising at all. But from the numerous accounts described here, everybody heals differently. You have no need to worry.

I didn't have any noticeable swelling. I had a minimal amount of bruising after the first day or two. It was limited to the upper part of my scrotum. It disappeared after about a week and a half.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

Same experience as most of the posters. i found massive icing to be effective. I used a 2 quart freezer bag, filled it with ice from the icemaker, wrapped it in a towel and placed it from by butt, across th scrotum and penis and as high on the abdomen as it would go. I skipped the 20 min on an off. Just left it on until it melted and then did it all over again. I didn't get up at night to refill ice. Used that every day for about the first four days. External swelling was not real noticeable after three to four days, bruising took about 2 weeks to go away. Internal swelling takes the full six weeks. Good luck

I'm only two weeks ahead of you. I'm on day 16. All the bruising and swelling is gone. But it still hurts. My dick hasn't completely accepted the cylinders and my right testicle isn't happy about the new neighbor down there. I found wearing a pair of Jockey Elance briefs with a hole cut in the front is the most comfortable. I also sleep wearing them. I'm sleeping on my side with a pillow between my knees. Until yesterday I sat on a donut ($10.00 at Walgreens). The photo was taken on day 9.
