I'm pre-implant and understanding outcomes, especially length, is very important to me. In this forum, there are many many discussion threads about length: 1. Pre RP, 2. Post-RP, 3. Pre-ED, 4. Post-ED, 5. Pre-VED, 6. Post-VED, 7. Pre-Implant, 8. Post-Implant, 9. Post-Revision. This is very important to most men getting implants. There are also some horror stories about botched implants, loss of natural length, etc. So discussions about length ARE important and understanding outcomes is very important for those making a decision about getting an implant.

The post-implant length itself may not be overly valuable, but knowing pre-implant vs. post-implant and other pre/post comparisons helps to set expectations. Thanks to everyone who is sharing.
60 yrs old. Gradually worsening ED for 10 years. Pills and trimix not working well anymore. Will need an implant in the near future.

the only help I can see offered by measurements is that it helps people like me, scheduled for an implant soon, adjust our hopes and expectations realistically.
Talking to your surgeron helps be very realistic. We all know about the snake oils/scams to grow your dick. My dr even talks about them on one his videos

Just curious who regulates dick measurements. Is it the Americian Association of Dick Masters? Is there a national dick measuring school or union? What grade in school is it taught?

Its not neccesary to be too clever to know that it is important to know the length you have to be able to compare it with the length you have left after the implant. If you do not mind losing 2 inches after the implant, congratulations, but most of us would like to keep all possible size.
And these measures are done by doctors in this way when they take measurements of the penis.
Stretching flaccid since the pubic bone is a good reference point and so, making measurements from the pubic bone will not change because it is always the same reference point. It is also made so because the length that comes out measuring the penis is all that can enter a pussy, if you measure it from one side, as in the first photo of bbb2, there is more than an inch that does not enter In the vagina.
And please a little seriousness in these threads, if you do not mind losing size you are the exception, most men care and is normal, it is your dick and everyone wants to get the surgery done in the best way possible and to know if they are equal after the implant that before its neccesary to know the size you had before

Yeah..you trust your surgeon but pray not to be one of those guys who lose two inches and tell them that their implant is well sized and in the end they have to go to a review because they trusted in their surgeon ..

Op here... My reason for asking this question was simple. Many of the members on here talk about their size. Knowing that each if measured different . I just thought I would find out how to measure correctly. I personally do not feel that the bone pressed measurement is a good indicator of usable length. Even if it is the correct way to measure from a medical view. Size does Matter, other wise guys would not be putting it in their signatures.... Just my thought.

The best method to measure is the pubic bone pressed ( as tybeeman pics). In medical diagnosys ( urology and andrology) this is.
Penis size from groin has not sense . My size from groin is 9 inches, but ..i know my penis is not 9 inches longer..

Hugh, maybe upside down is better. Would you rather have 6" or 9"?

Tybeeman,
My wife has never asked me the size of my dick. She loves it and so do I.
Donnie

Stretching did add half an inch. To soft and hard.

Also Donnie, Is a limp big dick better than a hard dick a little shorter? I lost an inch after my prostatectomy and my wife was glad because I use to bottom out on her from time to time. It wasn't a comfortable situation and mood ending. She got off the top of me this morning and said, that thing is perfect.
