Got Er Done

Postby Bigred » Wed Jun 07, 2017 11:45 pm

Got Kramered at about 6:00 pm today. Woke up in pain from the catherter. Great Doc in the recovery room took care of that with some injectable drugs. Decided to stay for 11 hours so they can remove the catheter and manage any pain. Can't wait to see " Big Wally". Great hospital and staff. So glad I made the decision to use Kramer ( thanks to the information and recommendations from folks on here).

More tomorrow

Congrats and welcome to your new bionic life. I too was Kramered 4/12/17 and I can tell you that in six weeks if you are like me, you will be having the time of your life with your significant other. Not gonna lie, it is painful and very uncomfortable for a number of weeks and then all of a sudden it is like a light comes on and voila you have this big fat new friend to play with that never goes siren and can last longer than I bet you can.

Enjoy every minute of it cos you will be the one t telling us adventure stories in a couple odd weeks.

Good luck and God bless. Congratulations again

Day 3

Dr Kramer just came by my hotel room to check on me. No pain, just sore. A good bit of bruising on my nut sac but other than that, all is good. Kind of difficult sitting on a toilet seat with a half stiffy. Stayed at the hospital overnight (11 hours), since I was traveling alone. Only needed the oxycodone 1 night. Tylenol seems to be working fine. Headed back to SC in the morning. My little city of 2 red lights will be a welcoming site.

I just don't know about the ice. The hospital didn't ice me and the post- op instructions said nothing about ice. I did ice anyway for two days just because everyone on here said ice, ice, ice. I asked Dr Kramer about it when he came by my room on Friday. He said it wasn't necessary.
Maybe it was just me and the way the surgery went.
