Bandit: There sis no easy answer to your dilemma. I too concluded I wanted an LGX. My surgeon said he would use the best prosthesis for me once he got me opened up. I wound up with a Titan and couldn't be happier.. Bottom line is pick a surgeon you are comfortable with, discuss the options and leave the details to him/her. Don't push the doc out of their comfort zone. If you are not happy with their answers, get another doc.

Yeah. Decision is not in stone. Something i talked about with my surgeon at appointments & consult. Getting closer to my surgery has me more excited than nervous. I am confident the time has come & i am comfortable w my decision to go thru with the implant. After researching & reading posts here as well as videos and internet info i believe i know what to expect. I am now inside a week away !

The Doc advised me to have the AMS 700cx. He gave a host of reasons but played the infection card saying he felt it is more resistant to infection. I told him that I was concerned with girth and Titan gave more promise. I then mentioned the AMS LGX with the length and girth expansion capabilities. He told me the cylinders he chose would be based on size as well as conditions he finds once he opens the hood, so to say. His office is going to call me with a date for surgery. Even though I've been jumping back and forth to the postings here at Franktalk, I'm confused more than ever what I should do. Since length will not change much,if any, my focus is to girth. Of what I can remember girth with natural erection was 5 - 5.5. Using vacuum pump I can easily attain a girth of 6.25 or more. I don't believe I can get those gains with AMS 700 cx Your input is invaluable to me. I'm not asking anyone to decide for me just spell out some pluses and minuses. I feel rushed now to make this decision and I know I shouldn't be, but surgery will be scheduled this week for some time in the not too distant future....prob next week. You guys are such a supportive, caring and eager to help group I never expected to fall upon...wish I found Franktalk years ago.

I was very concerned too cause I have a tiny dick to begin with. I am told by the doctor and many others that if you cycle your pump up and down as directed, some guys report an increase. Ask your self this though... Would you rather lose a little length and girth or not every being able to have sex again. I lost NOTHING with my AMS 700 and the doctor kept telling me it would be even better once swelling and bruising go away and it is healed. Don't sweat it. Go for the AMS 700. If you get an infection, you be outta the bed(so to speak) for 7.5-8 months.

Hopeful cause thats all i can be at this point. I am 58 & my wife us 17 years younger. I am active & otherwise healthy. Need to get this done & move on with my life. Lgx appeared to be y best choice based on my size. I was a "grower" always. Erect was slightl above average @ 6.25 inches with girth over 5.5. Hope to get back to that with the lgx. Can strech to 6". Probably lost .5 to .75 inch after surgery. Again, hopeful !

I have the LGX and have lost nothing. I think and my wife has commented that it seems like I have gained girth. We are both very happy. Love my surgeon although he was unknown to anyone here. He has now retired and and I have a new URO who has seen me twice.
Hope the best for you Bandit.

Two cent. I spent all day yesterday out of town interviewing two surgeons that have got great reviews. I cant use the 2 that are talked about on here a lot. One doctor was a Coloplast and the other was AMS. Of course the Coloplast Dr. examined me and said definitely a Coloplast, but he also installs AMS. The second one was a AMS guy and he examined me and said in my case he would go with a Coloplast. I was a little shocked. He came highly recommended my AMS and Dr. Kramer. I asked him why not a AMS. He said that because my garth was so wide and because of injections I have developed a slight cure and scaring.

Hey Bandit....good luck Tuesday. My surgery is Monday 5/22. We're both the same age and pretty close to the same size. Don't have a 41 yr old wife though....kudos!! lol !! I'm curious as to how we'll both do and any similar prob, issues etc..... I,too, am both excited and yep...nervous, but I'm running forward and not looking back. Surgery has been a long time coming...just wish it could have been years earlier. I guess this is the right time. Can't explain it any other way. I'll post back here Monday night to let you know how I did. Surgery is scheduled for 1pm so assuming I do wake up....lol...I hopefully will post by dinner time. Can't wait to say "I'm Bionic".
