Why "stretched flaccid" and not erect length?

Why are they doing the implant after your stretched flaccid length instead of your normal erect length? My stretched flaccid is about half the length of my erect one.

I guess for a doctor is easier see your strectched flaccid length than your normal erect length

I mean it could be difficult to see your normal erect length, maybe with an injection the doctor could see your size in erection but in many people the injections dont works well so the majory of doctors will use the stretched flaccid test.

I think Dr Eid sizes your penis after putting an injection, What I do not know is how the penis measures if the injection does not work well

But the majory do the stretched length

My doc used the stretch test. As posted above, Dr Eid uses an injection. Your stretched flaccid penis should be close to your erect length. They pull pretty hard on it. Are you sure you're stretching it all the way ?

I always had a problem with a little light tug and that is it. I was what I called a double grower. It would grow and a few minutes it would grow again like some muscles relaxed or something. Same if you pulled on it and held if for a few minutes, then it would stretch out some more. The pump did the same thing. Several others have messaged me over the past couple years that is the same way theirs worked. Everyone one of them had a shorter dick upon implant. I still maintain the stretch test has issues. Only advantage is it gets the doc out of the room to the next patient at $455 per patient. I do not believe it is accurate. If for no other reason than the self preservation built into our dick and balls. Anything they consider a threat and your balls shrink and dick hides. You think your dick thinks a doctor pulling on it is not a threat?

Dr Eid did measurements using stretched and erect with injection states to really figure out what my size capabilities would be. Dr Eid is really focused and sensitive to the issue that all men have about wanting to do everything possible to maximize length. His goal is to match the alprostadil injection erection length, and he writes that down on a special measurement sheet which goes to the OR. During the surgery, the implant is activated and he measures and compares with the numbers on the sheet. If need be, adjustments are made, sometimes even throwing away a shorter implant for a larger implant.
The reason stretched flacid is important is because some guys have such severe ED that they can't get erection even with the injection. Remember, all those measurements mean nothing unless there is some sort of cross check quality control step in the operating room once you have been implanted...thus, be sure to quiz your prospective surgeon if they do this sort of cross check quality control step to confirm length.

PS: if you are happy with your erection before surgery, you must think carefully about why you are getting the implant, I lived reasonably happily for ten years using the injections --- though I am happier now with the implant since I can be so spontaneous and am totally the "boss of my penis"; HOWEVER, my surgery implant experience was super easy and great with a smooth postop course and a really nicely sized implant

I find my stretched length is the same as erect...or damn close. You need to pull hard on tip straight out and measure from pubic bone.

The only measurement that matters is the internal measurement the surgeon makes when you're under anesthesia on the table. Stretched flaccid is nothing but an estimate to give you an idea of what your length post might be.
