I'm scheduled for AMS 700 on Mon., 11/7/16. After reading probably over 1,000 posts on these boards, I think I'm mentally ready for it. I'll report back on how it goes. I'm going w/ the AMS 700. I'm 5.5" erect, pre-surgery. Thanks for all the posters and people who have answered my questions. FT is a tremendous resource with great contributors.

I went to a hotel room after my surgery and they sent the catheter with me. I had to leave it in until the next morning, then I was supposed to deflate the balloon and pull it out.

Having the catheter in was the worst part of the experience for me and, yes I got the doc's permission to double up on the pain med that first day. After I took it out the next morning, it got better throughout the day and was much more tolerable.

Some guys don't seem to have any problem with the catheter, but I did. It was still worth it!!

Jon... it's now 11 hrs post op.... pain hit 2 hrs ago... they put pain med fluid into my intravenous line.... still hurts where they operated and where the catheter comes out. . . Sounds consistent with everyone else. . . Only thing I am not sure of is why the drip pain killer not kicking in. thanks
