Getting nervous

I leave for Baltimore Monday and am scheduled for the surgery on Wednesday. I am definitely getting nervous. I have pretty good faith in my doctor due to his excellent reputation, but nevertheless, I'm getting nervous about the recovery. Based on some of the threads where guys had surgeries go wrong, have scrotums the size of a grapefruit, and based on some pictures I've seen, I'm just plain nervous. I suppose I will get through it and I hope to be one of those who has little pain and a quick recovery. Probably not :=(

I had implant surgery with Dr Kramer last May. You have given yourself the absolute best option for a successful outcome using Dr Kramer. In a little time you will be very happy with your decision. Being nervous is very normal. Good luck. No you don't need good luck, you have chosen Dr Kramer.

Thanks guys. Yes, I am glad I chose Dr. Kramer. I did a lot of research on this board prior to my decision. Then when I went to investigate whether my Kentucky insurance would cover this procedure, I was delighted to discover that he was In Network for me. I was quite shocked. I will be glad to have this over. I appreciate your reassurances.

Jonbaldbg,

Good luck to you. I'm sure everything will be fine. I'm relatively new here and will get my implant on Dec. 1 so I cant offer much in the way of advice/experience but I can offer good thoughts for your upcoming surgery. Remember to post your experience with surgery and recovery, we'll all be waiting.

Honestly guys, the thing that worries me most is comments like, my scrotum swole up the size of a grapefruit.

And, I hope to be able to sit down to play the piano one week after surgery. I hope that is not expecting too much. I know Dr. Kramer's literature says go back to work in one to two weeks, depending on how you feel.

Some of the pictures of precedures gone wrong are a bit scary too, but none of those are the work of Dr. Kramer. I'm glad I chose him. I really like my local Urologist, but when he first told me about implants he stated that I'd lose an inch. I didn't like that and Dr. Kramer's assistant said that wouldn't happen there! We'll see.

Check out "My Journey" here and you will see what great job Dr. Kramer did for me. His team is the best and be sure to ask for a copy of the full video so you can view after to see his hands at work.
