And very similar to my experience except I went into the whole thing ignorant of the process and trusting of my urologist who is Australia’s highest volume practitioner.
I was prepared to be happy with 6” erect and functional and had no idea of what to expect with regards to flaccid.
To have ended up around 7” inflated and just over 6” flaccid with girth at 5.75” is a remarkable outcome compared to my lowly expectations.
I am living a life now,that 3 years ago I wouldn’t have considered possible.
Thanks Merrix.......I suspect that there are a lot of other men enjoying the transition from ED to post ED who enjoy reading of your experiences.

Merrix,

how is your erectile response after the surgery ? Do you still experience some swelling after arousal (except for the glans / spongiosum) in the cavernosum ? Do you still have a vascular penis ? (veins popping etc)

Do you know the measurement of your flaccid girth pre-surgery ?

Thank you.

I still get some sort of action in my dick when I get aroused. My normal flaccid is about 5 o'clock. Without pumping, I can get it up to about 3:30-4:00 just by arousal. Still not hard enough to have sex with though. I could masturbate though with that hardness.
It is still vascular.

My pre-op flaccid girth was 11.5 cm mid shaft.

Hey Merriix,

Your posts are truly the best; full of candid, no BS information that helps us all. Thank you.

I have many questions, many of which I’ve asked others already but one I have on my mind is this.

Much has been said about a woman noticing if she works your balls. I’m sure that’s the case. It’s just I love my balls being held, licked and sucked.

Do you believe this would likely change insomuch that women might not like the idea of working a sac that has an artificial apparatus in it? Or do women tend to ignore it and work on your balls anyway?

Thanks!
37, mild to moderate ED since age 21, 3 Dopplers - 1 result VL & 3 later results 'no physical problem', dependent on cialis (efficacy now waning), overcame Lymophoma at age 26, ED causing immense/profound psychological distress. Considering implant.

The ones who really like you and enjoy sex with you don’t really care(my experience)

Thanks!

Not an easy question to answer, as in the end, it will be different from woman to woman.
But I'll do my best to answer.

If it is your partner, wife, etc, I think she would ignore it and just go ahead as before. If not, I'd say she is a problem. That is like if you wouldn't want to touch her silicon breasts, or you wouldn't want to hold her post traffic accident hand prosthesis when taking a walk.

For a casual sex partner, it's a bit different. I'd say most of them would probably find it awkward, especially if they don't even know what it is. If they would feel the pump, and avoid asking what it is out of awkwardness, it is likely they wouldn't want to fondle it too much. if they don't even know what it is, they will not know whether it hurts you, embarrass you, etc.
If yo do tell them right there and then that it is a penile prosthesis, and it is the pump she is feeling, it might be a bit of a mood killer to lay it out to her in the middle of the act.
I would just say that I had an accident, had a surgery, all is ok, it doesn't hurt at all, it feels good when you touch my balls, please go on.

So I think a lot comes down to how you play it. A woman who knows what it is and who knows it's ok for you when she touches it should be ok with it most of the time. But if you don't tell them, then it might be a different story.

Merrix, you are one of the most authoritative users of the community. Repeatedly you stated about impossibility to hide the pump in the long term. What do you think about an additional operation on the scrotum, the skin was more rough, which would make it difficult for the partner to notice the pump. Any thoughts about this? Sorry for my bad English. Thank you

I really don't know if that would work, if it is even possible.
I am no doctor and I have never heard of such treatment.

But what I should clarify is that when I say that it is impossible to hide the pump for a partner in the long run, I don't only mean that she will feel the pump when touching you. Because if you have conservative sex, and if you take all measures you can to avoid her feeling the pump because that is so important to you, then sure, it might work. But at what cost? Boring sex, constant worrying about where she touches you?

What is equally a part of this issue is the behaviour from your side. In the long run, you will act too suspicious to get away with it without questions, which in a serious relationship you cannot avoid all the time.

What if she wakes up before you one morning, starts to blow your dick. Nothing happens. You wake up, excuse yourself, go take a piss, come back with a hardon. OK one time, two times, but what about ten times? Suspicious?

Or if you go in to the bathroom to take your normal pre-sex shower to inflate. Your partner surprises you in the shower before you have inflated. She starts working on your dick with the soap. Nothing happens. You ask her to get in bed. When you step out of the shower you are rock hard. Suspicious?

Or you are driving on a remote road somewhere in the mountains. She asks you to pull over. Unzips your pants. Pulls your dick out and starts to work on it. Nothing happens. What do you do? Get out of the car, turn the back on her, inflates, jumps back in the car with a hard dick? Suspicious?

Or you get home from a nice dinner. Sit down to take a drink in the sofa. she gets undressed in front of you and expects you to do the same and have sex with her. Always the excuse of taking a piss first. What if you just took a piss 3 minutes ago. what if she got undressed while you took your piss. Should you still take a piss again? It only works so many times.

So to hide the implant in the long run in a relationship is not only about avoiding her feeling the pump. It is about the whole process of getting it up. Never when she watches.

That's why I say that people should not get implanted with the conviction that they can hide the implant from people all the time for as long as they want. It probably won't work, and probably isn't even worth trying to do. Better reap the full benefits of spontaneous worry-free sex.
