Aphrodisiacs when having an implant

Postby Gastov » Wed Nov 25, 2015 1:39 pm

I wondering if so called aphrodisiacs like horny goat weed, butea superba etc. will increase pleasure when having a penile implant?

May such substances increase the ability to feel sexual pleasure after the corpora cavernosa are replaced by the implant?

Hi Gastov,

Can't help with the implant question although I am considering one myself. This said it looks like the vast majority of men on this site say it feels the same.

I'm currently on anti-depressants and wondered what type you were on?

42 years old, Venous leak all my life. Pills worked but not so much then I foolishly did Scerothreapy (See young guys thread). Now totally impotent and just want an implant to stop me from completely crazy.

There's almost no real empirical research indicating that the so-called herbal or natural substances have any real aphrodisiac effect on male sexuality. I tried all that stuff when I first started showing signs of ED. Results? Nothing. Men with implants could buy these substances for enhancement but I believe they'd be better off just throwing their money into a lit fireplace.

+1 Having an implant has not reduced sensation at all and I agree with KMeister, the so called aphrodisiacs really don't do anything.

I don't think he was talking about anti-depressants. The ssri's and ssnri's certainly do have an effect on libido and sensation and are not helped by aphrodisiacs. Almost everybody taking these anti-depressants has sexual side effects from them.

I was on SSRI's from late teens til early twenties. After being off meds for a while I started taking cymbalta 30 mg. During this period sexual function was very good. Increasing the dosage to 60 mg was like flipping a switch which launched me into complete impotence for a long period of time.

What meds are you taking and are they causing you side effects? Impotence after discontinuation isn't very common I believe. Most men do recover.

Personally I do use a supplement which did help me a great deal in regards to libido and function when I first started using it a couple of years ago, more so than sildenafil/tadafil alone. At present it doesn't give me satisfying erections but there it definately an increase in libido and blood flow.

Aphrodisiacs to enhance erection ability are different from Aphrodisiacs to enhance desire.

The former will have minimal or no effect on erections (which depend on the corpus cavernosum). But likely would still have the same effect on the spongiosum they did before. The latter would still have the same effect as before.

I found that the implant itself is a mechanical aphrodisiac. :o

I know first hand about antidepressants. I was on effexor dr for about 10 years. No sex drive and needed Cialis to get up. I had very little sesation when having sex. I think that antidepressants cause me to get peyronies Disease. I've since got off the Effexor and have gotten all of my sensation back. I will be implanted in Thursday to correct my 60 degree curve. There are other antidepressants with little to no side effects. If interested send me a PM

I think so, anyway the penis implant has the same functions as a natural penis, so all the effects must be felt on the implant. It would be best to consult a specialist doctor. But I still think it will help a lot even for a penis implant. Let us think logically, the implant is also a natural organ, science has become very advanced, the technical-scientific progress has had a great impact on biotechnology, so penis implants have become extremely qualitative, as well as the aphrodisiac preparations. I am not an expert on this topic, but I can recommend you on this page which I think will help you a lot. By the way, from there you can buy, but also ask if it will have an effect. Of course, they need to know the answer.

Sure. I think they would have the same effect on libido, corpus spongiosum, psyche as they did before (if any).

Whatever effect they had on the corpus cavernosum would be negated by the fact that the cavernosum has been compromised, damaged, removed or destroyed by the implant operation.

But any other effects should remain just as they were before.
