Proton Therapy & Prostate Cancer

Postby Epsilon » Mon Nov 23, 2015 6:06 pm

If you have PC and are still weighing treatment options a frequently overlooked option might be Proton Therapy. Some urologists fail to make a case for this treatment either because it is unknown to them or they are unfamiliar with it.

It has gained a lot of traction in recent months, and I have two friends who can testify to successful outcomes now six or more years old. There is a wealth of info on the web on this subject. Here's just one link worth reading: http://www.protons.com/proton-therapy/p ... state.page?

Unlike surgery, chance of impotence is minimilized! Loma Linda (which treated my friends) was first to offer this treatment 25 years ago. There are now over ten Proton Therapy facilities in this country including Mayo Clinic about to start construction of their second facility.
