Zac's Journey Pre & Post-Op 2014

Postby zac white » Mon Oct 06, 2014 5:22 am

My Pre OP questions and answers can be found in the following two threads

What will I still feel re arousal, stimulation post Implant?

What to tell my employer & colleagues re the time off work?

In Hospital,
It feels like I have been waiting for ever and now I am in hospital and being prepared for the morning, exciting and nervous.
Hard to believe it's about to happen, will try to get some sleep before the 5am call for shower and prep for surgery
So many things swirling around in my head, thanks for all of you that have been so helpful to date and in sharing your experience
Will let you know how it all goes as soon as I can
Regards
Zac

Good pill did I tell you 9 hours and I will be meeting my LGX hope we get on well together sorry can't see the screen have to sleep nurse wants me up at 5 am Ciao

Now 2.30,am and wide awake sorry for the last post the pill hit me for a six a bit of crazy talk
I think anxiety has kicked in I could not be more awake so I will sit out the next 2 1/2 hours until the nurse calls for me to shower and we get ready for the ride to theatre
Hopefully tomorrow night they give me something strong enough to sleep it off
It's like when you were a kid and you were going on a trip and the excitement was just too much to be sleeping except this time it's a very short trip but with a very big difference
Will try reading that sometimes makes me drowsy but not holding out for it
After the long wait now an even longer night feel more like I should get up and go for a run but I don't think that the hospital staff would agree
Thanks for letting me share some of the wait
Zac

Back in my room, feeling really good nurses doing heaps of follow ups. Theatre team made the visit very pleasant, doctors chatted heaps don't remember after that, just as well. Recovery room team also excelent, woke feeling rested and hungry.
Now 3pm had a sleep, a light meal, my wife said I look ready to hit the town but suggested I sleep it off a bit more. Feeling is coming back one by one I can take roll call with out looking two balls, one sack, one very erect pecker in a mummy case have not searched for any additions as yet very tender but my wife said it all looks good & healthy. Need to rest it was a very long night but feeling very happy right now
Cheers

12hours post op
No pain, sensitive to touch - not touching so feeling ok
Heaps of antibotic via the IV all day, happy to have anything that cut down on the possibility of infection
IV coming out later tonight because I have been drinking all day
Doctor coming in the morning, tubes out and then should be going home
Keeping the ice packs on, very little bruising or swelling so far
Pecker looking good re size, no complaints as yet
All in all very happy
Will have a sleeping pill and some pain killers (nurses have been offering all day but not needed)
So hopefully will get some sleep
Cheers

Congrats Zac! I had a Titan Coloplast OTR implanted on 9/11 and am going in for my 4 week follow up in two days. Best of luck! Just make sure to rest for the first week as much as possible, everyone's recovery is markedly different. Sounds like you are doing awesome!

Thanks for the good wishes Guys
Had a reasonably comfortable night woke a few times but kept getting back to sleep
Pillow between the knees helped a lot, I have been drinking heaps and passing heaps so the IV went early last night
Catheter is the main sore spot hopefully comes out this morning also the drain tube
Doctor yet to arrive it's 6am should go home today
Will take the advice to rest it's been so good so far don't want to stuff it up now
What a relief in every way a special congrats to you guys that went straight home or travelled long distances. I'm pretty tough when it comes to recouping but I am really thankful for the hospital care
About to have breakfast
Cheers
PS he looks a nice package!
No real bruising or swelling as yet

Day 2
Doctor arrived at 8.30am and removed Catheter and drain tube he was very proud of his work no bruising only little swelling. Used the ice packs while waiting for my wife to pick me up we got home at 10.30 am went to bed and slept nearly all day. All feeling very comfortable, taking light pain tablets keeping the ice packs up, drinking heaps and pissing heaps, no pain. No BM as yet lots of wind, eating well. On two types of antibiotics for the rest of the week. Except for the bald pubes all looks very normal good girth and length even better than before as he cut the webbing back so that the penis hangs more freely, no complaints about the appearance. I wear nothing in bed and a soft pouch jock with ice pack inserted when I am up.
I can feel the pump hanging freely can't feel tubes or anything else will wait to do anything with the pump until I visit the nurse next week and then the Doc in 4 weeks
Plan to sleep heaps over the next couple of days really speeds up the healing
Have to say that I am really thankful that all has gone so well so far
Cheers
