LGX 700 Auto Inflation

Postby RugbyDave » Sat Sep 28, 2013 3:18 am

Hi
I have had my LGX 700 for 10 weeks now. Everything is going really well except I have a problem with auto-inflation. I have seen a couple of post on the subject here and tried various methods but just wanted to check if there was a technique I was missing.

Any help or advice gratefully received.

I have never had a problem with auto inflation. I have had problems with incomplete emptying. Pushing the deflate button will allow the pressure in the penis to push most of the fluid back to the reservoir, but sometimes not all.

At 10 weeks this might be a little uncomfortable yet; squeeze your penis gently but very firmly to remove the rest of the excess fluid. You may if you have healed to the point where this is comfortable want to press gently but firmly on the part of the penis that can be felt through the scrotum.

Any problem that I had that looked like auto-inflation came from incomplete emptying. If I got the external part empty and not the other then the fluid would redistribute later and give a sem0-rigid effect.

I had the same problem for a while and my doctor said it was probably due to the reservior being a bit encapsulated. He encouraged me to squeeze the prosthesis fully empty. I also wore very snug elasticized briefs ("Evelve" from Target) for a couple of weeks to try to keep it compressed. It worked. Good luck.
I am sixty-six years of age and dealing with gradually worsening ED for twenty years. At sixty-three I wanted something that worked reliably. I got an AMS 700 LGX implant in 6/25/13. I am entirely pleased with the outcome. My surgeon was Dr. Karpman.
