Extremely concerned over replacement delay

Postby shadowwolfe » Sat Oct 24, 2026 9:24 pm

My implant has lost all fluid. It happened before but was just a tube that needed to be reattached. This time it feels totally different. Last time I had the impression that some fluid remained but this time it feels like it totally drained. I’m strongly suspecting a major failure this time.

Normally I wouldn’t be too concerned and realize replacement are necessary after several years. But I made an appointment with Doctor Beley in Paris (I live in France now) but his earliest appointment isn’t until April. I’m concerned because I’ve read that is really considered an extremely long wait for a replacement and it becomes a very high risk of complications including losing a lot of length and girth along with other issues.

I’ve written Dr, Beley about my concerns but haven’t received any response. Anyone else have to wait so long for a replacement? And in April it’s just consultation so no idea when the surgery could happen.

I’m very stressed and not sure if my concerns are unfounded.

No expert, but if me, I would be extremely concerned. Find another high volume reputable doctor ASAP.

shadowwolfe, when you called their office for an appointment, did you mention implant malfunction as the reason?

Yes, I explained it was an implant that has failed. The woman didn’t seem to really care as I tried to explain. I have seen a Pr. Staerman in France who fixed the detached tube but when I try and find any stats on him, there is none published. Since replacements are more complicated than an initial implant, I wanted to see someone with more experience with known success rates.

I hope it’s a bad employee, and you can confirm with another staff in the same office.

What are your thoughts on this surgeon below? He also comes up in a search.

Second best in France I believe but he also doesn’t have appointments until March. But I may contact him anyhow and see. I’m going to send another email to Dr. Beley and see if he responds this time.

This is my concern… Medical literature indicates that prolonged periods of complete device failure (or long-standing untreated erectile dysfunction) can allow progressive corporal fibrosis, tissue contracture, and measurable loss of penile length and girth. The cylinders of a functioning implant help maintain corporal dimensions through regular inflation and act, to some degree, as tissue expanders; when the device is completely deflated and non-functional for many months, that protective effect is lost and the natural processes of atrophy and fibrosis associated with chronic flaccidity may continue.
