I've read about cylinder placement in the penis during surgery. But I'd like to know whats the ideal placement of the cylinders relative to the glans in the penis?

During the surgery a Dr measures the proximal and distal length of the cavernosa at the incision point and gets a length for implant. Some surgeons will maybe be a little more aggressive and others not so much so. Generally the tips of implant should be well into the glans. Most say 2/3 or up to 3/4 way in. I would guess some people’s cavernosa is deeper into the glans than others just like some have a deeper crux than others. A good surgeon will properly size you to your measurements.

+1 to what Rider said. My cylinder tips are just over halfway into the glans when flaccid, and more than 3/4 when erect.
I'm guessing that my surgeon has sized me correctly. In fact he told me that he did and I believe him.
I would not want the tips any further in, both for comfort and risk of erosion.

I agree with the previous posters. My doc did it perfectly and it was probably 3/4th of the way into the glans. There was a bit of discomfort early on, but the result was worth it. Obviously, the CX isn't supposed to grow in length very much though.
