Hello,
Any malleable implant patients who have had it for over 3 years can share their experience please?
Which implant is it?
Length?
Recovery period?
Total cost?
Can you bend it down and conceal it?
Length and girth loss?
Any revisions done?
I am fixed on a malleable and ive read that coloplast genesis has the lowest revision rate from what little internet research ive done.
Im 40 and had ed since my 20s most probably due to a vein defect. Pills used to work but now losing effectiveness. I want a malleable for the price and lower revision rates. Also ease of surgery and recovery.
Thanks in advance

Re: Long term malleable reviews
Also interested - it’s really hard to find long-term malleable journals compared to IPP, but a classic one is this thread from user mbambo about his Rigi10 malleable:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20056
^^^ he started the thread in August 2022 and returns around April 2024 (possibly later, haven’t done a re-read recently but planning to in advance of my surgery on Jan 20). From the thread, he answers vast majority of your questions and more, and seemed very happy with the malleable over a year later in 2024.

ED since high school. Pills always hit or miss, mostly ineffective. Finally diagnosed with venous leak in early September 2025.
Surgery scheduled for Rigi10 MPP w/ Dr Hakky on January 20, 2026.

Re: Long term malleable reviews
Also - the Genesis malleable has been around the longest and there’s a few users here that have then.
DukeCicero
Thedriver
Lasthope
^^^ these three guys come to mind.
I know for a fact Duke and Thedriver are very happy with it. Lasthope is considering revision to an IPP not because of particular failings of the Genesis, but because he hasn’t been able to achieve orgasm with PIV sex with it possibly on account of nerve issues from surgery, but he explains it way better than I ever could and I don’t want give misinformation. But he has also said many positive things about his Genesis and indicated he feels glad he had the surgery.
The Genesis has a lot of great advantages - it has an antibiotic coating that can help prevent infection, it’s technically less “rigid” than the newer malleables from a NUMBERS standpoint, but time and time again this tends to result in folks who have them having no issues bending and concealing them. The Rigi10 and Tactra on the other hand - while more “rigid” - can be more difficult to bend.
For my upcoming surgery on Jan 20, I’m getting a Rigi10 - but it was a very close choice for me between Rigi10 and Genesis, and I absolutely will revise to a Genesis if I run into major bendability/concealment issues with the Rigi10.
Lastly - on length / girth loss, risk is generally higher with malleables for this. Some folks observe no real loss (I think Duke has said that he really didn’t notice any difference between his implanted size vs natural size) but others have definitely pointed out they’ve had length or girth loss or both (I believe Lasthope and user ready2go, who has a Tactra). Some surgeons, like mine (Dr Hakky) will purposefully undersize by around 1 cm with malleables to mitigate erosion risks.
