I’ve been pumping my implant until the bulb is hard. I never really felt pain or discomfort. I thought this was the max. Then I tried adding some micro pumps and felt a bit of pain. Im still 1/2” down in length and girth.
About two and half months half passed and I worry that this has affected me regaining my size…is it possible that my mistake will prevent me from fully regaining size? I have barely gained any size since surgery. Very worrying.
I think I have been cycling wrong…

I think I have been cycling wrong…
10/8/25 Age 27. Diagnosed with venous leak. Could not maintain without constant stimulation. Maybe I went for implant prematurely, too early to tell. Concerns are tubing at base, size, and new curve I never had before. Dr Darshan Patel. AMS 700CX 21+3

You are probably not cycling wrong. A lot of guys take up to a year or more before seeing gains. One study shows there are gains up to 24 months. (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5000799)
My new mantra: chill out, and wait. The size you eventually wind up at is mostly related to the length of your implant, not to how aggressively you cycle.
Definitely cycle. But otherwise, chill out and wait.

50. Implanted 5/21/2024 at Kaiser SSF. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.

What exactly does pumping to the “max” mean? I’ve been pumping until the pump is difficult to depress and can only do micropumps. I’d say about 90%. Does that sound about right? Should I push it a little further with the micropumps to get to 100% even if it is a bit painful?

My personal belief is that pain has nothing to do with it. We are hardwired to think that it’s like exercise: more aggressive lifting means bigger and faster gains. But I haven’t heard any doctors say that. And it doesn’t make much sense. Your dick can already accommodate your implant, the doc was able to stretch you to that size already. Your body just needs to adjust itself to it.
The protocol most often quoted is to pump until you can’t pump anymore, until your dick is hard, once a day, for 1-2 hours, though some docs say 20 minutes is fine. Have sex or jack off while you are at it. Do Perito exercises if you want.
Then be patient. Almost everyone fills out their implant. You have 24 cm of implant. Depending on how deep your crus is, that should eventually translate to 6-7 inches, probably what you were at before plus a bit more. I have the same amount of implant as you. When I was 2.5 months out, I had 4.75 inches. After a year, I had up to 6.25 depending on gland engorgement.
Chill out and wait!

Appreciate it. The posts do make it seem like a workout lol. Basically, just pump as much as possible and comfortable and wait.
