How does the surgeon seal the connected tubes?

How does the surgeon seal the connected tubes?
How are the tubes connected during the operation so that they are leak-proof?

I sometimes use an Osbon pump and two D-rings during sex.

I think some implant models can be used that have permanently attached tubes up to the pump. It is my feeling that is the variation of CX that I have.

The reservoir, I don't know about. But I do know that weight loss lap bands are filled or drained through a port using a needle. I think the port works like an insulin vial that you fill a syringe through.

Some YouTube videos show tubing being spliced with some very tiny crimped on splices. My pump is high which I think supports my non spliced model idea. It is like my deep proximal measurement used up any slack in the tubing so it can't be lower in my sack. I've seen some members mention no splice models. I have felt all around & can't find a splice. But it is entirely possible the reservoir splice is buried deeper which kind of make sense since being deeper would seem to get less movement.

I had a good talk with my drs assistant about his revision rates. She claims that he does do revisions but most of them are from other surgeons. She actually packs around an implant in her pocket. I held it & I remember the pump but no reservoir. Cylinders were flat so not filled.

If I get some spare time I should send her an email.

The instructions for AMS implants are here, and can answer quite a few questions:

The only tubes that need to be connected are the pump to the reservoir. In fairly extensive detail, the instructions outline using either “window connectors” or “suture tie connectors”.
