32 and impotent - Two urologists refused me the implant. feeling very depressed..

Postby vincentmh » Wed Dec 10, 2025 5:40 pm

Its long but PLEASE read my story

Man 32, (turning 33 soon). Live in Canada (quebec province).

Very fit and active and very healthy body fat (it's been like that all my life, always been an athlete). Run 40min 4times a week + 4 weight training session per week. Never been sligthly overweight. No drugs or smoking. zero alcool in 2 years (but i will admit, a lot of partying and alcool in all of my 20s).

No illness, great A1C, very good Lipid panel since my 30s. no caffeine. Great diet now(but not so good in my 20s). Mediterranean diet, whole food and rich in nitric oxide. I already supplements with mag, vit d + k2, zinc, boron, citrulline, etc.

Important note : my problem is NOT psychological ed.

It started as far as early 20s. It was subtle at first but things got gradually worse years after years. Things accelerated in the last 4-5 years.

current situation : erection is impossible. Had No random erection for years. BEST i can get is an half chub in the morning sometimes. very real visual penile atrophy since 2-3 years. Also, Glans discoloration from pink to ''white-pink'' (lack of blood flow i guess), even one urologist admitted it. Soft glans syndrome was actually one of my first condition, even when i still had the possibility to get rect, my glans remained soft.

Private Urologist : Penile doppler : no erection at all, i got a small half chub from the injection. PSV = 35 and EDV = under 5. Visual exam too (nothing wrong detected like peyronies, etc). He refuses to implant me at my age.

Public system Urologist : No doppler but physical exams. (like groin arteries vascual exam and he said i had a good and strong pulse)

Since the last 2 years i also did with him ALL the blood test imaginable. and its always been fine (high male hormones actually..) No STI too (even if i have had no sex for years)

He also refuses to implant me at my age because i'm ''too young and very healthy''. I feel like i am 1 in a million. they just can't find whats the problem...

----------- Also :

- All ED meds absolutely dont work one me, half chub at best IF i'm luncky. (and at max dose)

- sleep is not ''great'' but im improving it this year.

- zero Porn

- i have done a lot of pelvic floor exercises but it was useless.

- other important note : over the years my sperm got very clear (not thick white like in my early 20s) and my ejaculation volume is maybe a third of what it was.

- AGAIN, its not psychological. i have seen 3 sex therapist over the years but it was useless. very expensive and i can't even do their exercise when my dick is completely dead. (its not a ''oh it wont get up because of stress'' thing.)

i feel like my last hope is a very rare Nerve problem somewhere in my body, what else ? anyway urulogist think it would be very complicated to find such a thing and diagnose it..

Doctors in canada are way more conservative than in usa. I read a lot of young implanted men from reddit in usa but not canada. The thing is there is no way i fly to usa for this. I want the operation and the doctor the be close to my home. it would be 10 times less stressful if there is a complication and for the follow-up appointments.

So now, all i can do is keep living in hell from impotence for another 5-10 years before i'm 40 and they finally accept to implant me. if i have the surgery done i want it in canada close to my home. not to fly to mexico or usa..

All I can tell you is that if you really want this, you should do whatever it takes — including flying to a doctor close to Canada in the U.S. You can make this work.
Born 1990. ED since age 20 after a bicycle accident. Coloplast Genesis malleable implanted December 2024 by the great Dr. Laurence Levine in Chicago.

I would also put out the idea of flying down here to Bogota, Colombia to have it done. Since it sounds like you’ll be paying out-of-pocket, it’s going to be a lot less expensive than the US and you could also get an Airbnb here reasonably cheap for a few weeks and do your recovery here to minimize the stress of travel. Just to give you an idea, I paid about $12,000 USD for the whole procedure (including an overnight in the clinic afterwards since I didn’t have anyone to stay the night at my apartment to monitor me post-anesthesia). My surgeon Dr. Carlos Andres Ruiz is the highest volume guy here in Bogota, who was recommended to me by Boston Scientific. English speaking, very good bedside manner, even came to my apartment on post op days 1 and 2 to check everything out. And I know he is open to implanting younger guys because he mentioned having recently done a guy in his late 20s. Anyway, you can search him on Instagram (@docruizurologo) and Google, and you’ll find his contact information and more about him. Best of luck!

Well, obviously free is better than $12-20 K… but if the government won’t pay for it until you’re 40, I guess the question is what price would you put on the next eight of the prime years of your life?

absolutely, but i still give myself until end of 2026 to convince them. if not, i will have to fly to get it yes.

I think they refuse to do it because at my age it would take at least 4 devices which is a lot of risk..

I revise my statement lol. Find a urologist who will take you in Canada!

Am enjoying it greatly. Check out the links in my signature to read my reports/journey. I just posted my one-year journal a few days back. Of course, I have a malleable, not the inflatable. But I'm a huge fan of it. I didn't really use a pump, maybe a few times and only for masturbation years ago. I have not had any size loss compared to my initial size.
