The Green Mile

Postby LargoJoe » Wed Dec 10, 2025 12:20 pm

12-09-25 I walked the Green Mile.
At least it seemed kinda like that, practically terrified, walking down the long hallway of the HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center to the pre-op center.
There was no John Coffee to grab my groin with his magical healing power like he did for Tom Hanks in the movie, but there was, what believe to be the next best thing. Dr Johnathan Clavell.
Dr Clavell, in person is just like you see in his videos, very charismatic and personable. The kind of guy you would invite to your family backyard BBQ. He looks you right in the eyes and assures you that “I will treat your penis as if it were my own” and he means it, or more importantly, makes you believe it.
I won’t go into all the pre-op and surgical stuff that we’ve all read over and over here, but I’ll concentrate on things that may not have been touched on. Like traveling from out of town.
My wife accompanied me and we booked our flights through Expedia. I’m not sure that was a good move, but I’ll spare you the details.
Following the video advice from Dr Clavell’s video on traveling, and the maps and information his scheduler provided, we booked our stay at the ZaZa Hotel in Huston for 5 nights. The hotel is expensive, but it’s only 3 blocks from the Hospital, and I figured the wife would enjoy it.
We were supposed to arrive Saturday night, but American Airlines screwed up our flight and we didn’t arrive till Sunday. My surgery was scheduled for Tuesday. Still plenty of time to seek out some Texas BBQ before I have to start fasting.
Monday morning I walked to the HCA Houston Healthcare Center, an easy 3 blocks, and did all my pre screening, blood test and EKG. Afterward the wife and I went to the excellent Huston Museum Of Natural Science. Looking at the mummy exhibit there I couldn’t help but think about what my dick would look like tomorrow.
Tuesday we walked to the hospital. My anxiety level was lower than I expected. This has been a months long, agonizing, stressful decision. I admit the thought crossed my mind, even after they started the IV, that it wasn’t too late to chicken out.
Dr Clavell came by and was very confident and reassuring. He assured me that the AMS CX product was a good choice, even though I got the impression he favors the Titan. When I asked his what he thought about the LGX, he said that it was “more for guy’s that are like this”, and held out his pinky finger.
When I woke up, there was relatively no pain. The nerve block Dr Clavell uses works.
I of course had the mummy wrap with my new penis partially inflated and sticking straight out pointing upward about 2 o’clock. The shaft was numb. The head kinda purple colored and brushed. The most discomfort was in my abdomen, low on my right side, where I guess the reservoir was placed. Still it only felt maybe like I was sore from doing sit-ups .
Dr Clavell came by and fist bumped me and said things went well. I had no trouble urinating, and was discharged with very little fanfare, walked out of the hospital and WALKED BACK TO THE HOTEL!
I kept the little urinal they gave me at the hospital. With your dick sticking straight out it’s a necessity. I’m having trouble with dribbling, because you can’t really shake to dew off your Lilly with it all bandaged up. I learned by reading here, about putting a baby sock on it to help with the sensitivity, so I came prepared with a couple pairs. Then I figured out that I can stuff a piece of tissue into the toe of the baby sock before I slide on and the collects any dribble. Problem solved.
Today I’m holding up in the room, very little discomfort. When sitting in a chair it helps to have a rolled up hand towel under my nuts. Tylenol only so far for pain. No ice…yet.
It’s hard to sleep because I’m normally a stomach sleeper and THAT AIN’T HAPPENING, so, on my side with a big ZaZa Hotel pillow between my legs it is.
Tomorrow I’ll take a shower and remove the mummy wrap. I’m not looking forward to the trip back home with a connecting flight in Atlanta, but at least it’s Delta and not American Airlines…
68, Pills worked great from my 40’s until I fractured my penis about 7 years ago during a “drunk girl on top” scenario. ED got worse and pills quit working, Yada,yada…12/09/25 Dr Clavell AMS 700CX MS

Congrats, and welcome to the brotherhood! Rest up, ice, you’ll be back to having drunk girls bounce on your dick in no time.

Be well,

Good luck with the flight and your overall recovery.
I had a reasonably long flight after my procedure. It went well but it did take it out of me by the time I arrived home. Be prepared for some temporary setbacks which quickly resolve with some self care.
You will feel so much better just being back in your own environment.
