I've read a lot of stuff online about how infection risks increase with every revision. I saw something that suggests infection risk can hit 50% on the 5th revision!
I believe infection can be hard to manage and carries risk of scar tissue and penile shrinkage etc?
Has anyone here been through revisions? If so how many and what was the experience like?

Find a good doctor with a high volume of surgeries. An experienced doctor will rarely experience infections, even during rev

I had my revision last year and found it to be less painful and an easier recovery than the first one. Both were the Titan classic, and performed by Dr. Eid.

How long did your first implant last and how much use did you get out of it?

Good to know. I am having a revision/replacement after failure of my AMS CX at 5.5 years.
The Dr. will be Dr Kramer.
I am hoping that the revision recovery time and pain will be less than the original surgery.

i was quoted for infection risk to be able 3-5% for revision surgery (vs <1% for 1st implant).

Re: Has Anyone Been Through Revisions?
I’ve always been baffled by the notion that infection probability keeps going up and up and up with every revision. It’s commonly quoted but not backed up with peer reviewed literature. It doesn’t make logical sense.
Certainly a revision carries a slightly higher risk of infection.
It is also logical that any additional components of the device left inside carry a slight increase of infection (if an old reservoir is left behind) than if they were all removed.
But there is nothing about the 3rd revision that is different about the 2nd revision. Nothing about the 4th revision that is different about the 3rd.
The patient is older. So some aspect of “increased risk of infection” may be tied to the increased age of the patient.
I’d be interested in seeing peer reviewed urology or infectious disease journal articles that address. But so far this seems like a notion that keeps circulating without scientific proof.
