Procedure Attire

Postby Boatdrinks » Wed Oct 08, 2025 8:46 am

Welp! Tomorrow is the day!!! I am counting the minutes here trying to get some work done.
What have yall worn to the hospital for this? I am going with sweat pants and a t shirt and flip flops as I live in Florida. I’m assuming it doesn’t matter on underwear? If so, what should I be wearing to the hospital?
Getting me a few bags of peas today for my ice.
Picked up all my meds.
What am I forgetting? Lol. Lots of nervous chatter here, apologies. This group has been so very helpful and I thank you all.

Oversized sweatpants are great. You will likely be bundled up in gauze and a supporter of some kind as they finish the surgery.

You are right, underwear doesn’t matter. Wear whatever is comfortable there. You won’t be wearing it home.

Ice ice ice ice ice ice ice and rest for the first couple days. Keep your feet up. Rest. Drink fluids. Rest. Ice. Rest.

The first couple days are 75% icing your junk. The other 25% is icing your junk. LOL

Happy for you.

Sweats and tee shirt is fine. Coming home your penis will be wrapped in enough bandages to create a mummy. LOL
A comfy couch or recliner for a couple days. Pillows, blankets and whatever makes you comfy. I never used ice (hate cold stuff on me). Didn't have too bad swelling. After doc released me to bathe a hot bath was my best pain relief.
Have some books or games on your phone. Snacks and easy to make meals will be helpful unless someone is cooking for you.
Hope all goes well for you.

I dont know if it applies to everyone but I wish I had brought a bathrobe to put on over whatever else I had on. Really just something to cover my protruding wrapped erect penis.
Honestly I didn't really care but if there was a mom with small children around while I was staggering into the medical transport, they would have wanted me to have it.
The hospital gave me a thin blanket to use and keep.

I know it’s the most difficult thing to do, but try not to worry. At this point you have chosen your surgeon, get it done and try to relax and let your body heal. I have wrote many paragraphs on this forum saying….. attitude is probably 1/2 the healing process. Stay positive. Expect a lot of discomfort in the following days and weeks… maybe some pain…… it’s expected!!! You are having surgery….. positive thinking!! It will all be good! By the way, has anybody mentioned ICE??? lol.

I wore gym shorts t shirt and flip flops. you most likely will have a catheter, so shorts seem to work best for me. Good Luck Buddy.
Started with Viagra at age 40. Worked good for about 12 years.
Tried Trimix injections, worked great for about 8 years
Now Trimix no longer works.
I got implant on Oct 26th 2022.
