Do you mean without using insurance?
Mine is going to be zero dollars with insurance as I have already met out of pocket for the year.

I'm getting mine done in Australia. I'm travelling there from New Zealand.
I've been quoted $27500 AUD. Adding in flights and accommodation it comes to $32000 AUD.
That's about $21000 USD.

With or without insurance. Broad question because each guy will have different circumstances. I’m on Medicare with an Advantage plan. I’m dropping my Advantage plan and going with straight Medicare in 2026.
What insurance do you have?

I could have paid $200 out of pocket with my Kaiser copay. After meeting the Kaiser urologist and consulting with him, I happily paid $21,000 to Dr. Clavell to have it done by one of the best in the business.
IMO, this surgery is not something you shop price on. Luckily I have the means to make that choice, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Hopefully when I need a revision I'll have Medicare pay for it.

You have some good examples of cash prices here, but as far as traditional insurance goes: the hospital may well bill astronomical amounts (in hopes of recouping a fraction of that from the insurance) what this means for you is to be aware of your annual maximum out-of-pocket expense. this will be more meaningful than the deductible. The procedure will blast past your deductible and co-pays and get you into the "maximum out-of-pocket". Not sure if it's the same if you go to a little surgery center.....but I was in a major hospital.
