Implant questions and alternate financing
Hello Group,I am looking for someone I can talk to on implants. My insurance does not pay on this and my Dr is a dick,he needs a social implant.Ha!. I want to talk to anyone going thru this problem, pre implant, not post implant.I am Rick.I am trying to make the most informed decisions and need emotional support and ideas. I have the money for the implant but it is a traumatizing experience dealing with this issue from daybreak to end everyday. It weighs on me a lot and am feeling alone on it.Everyone says its a common problem but I have never saw one in person in life that is dealing with it.I think maybe people have this but will not talk about it because of the stigma..I feel this is a safe place.

If you don’t like your surgeon, find another! The choice of surgeon is probably the most important consideration for this type of surgery, even more important that type or brand of implant.
There are very good supportive surgeons out there, and there are a lot of threads on this forum recommending them.

Hey otterboy - I’m in the process of evaluating my implant options, don’t have one yet but have decided it’s time. I was diagnosed with venous leak.
You’re doing the right thing by joining this forum as a support network. Also would recommend:
1. Find a great surgeon, even if it means having to drive out of town or even by plane. I’m using Dr Hakky in Atlanta. Some other guys you’ll see recommended here would be Clavell, Perito, Eid, Levine - all based in different parts of the US (if you’re US-based). Research a surgeon who is a high volume implanter, there’s lots of good threads and recommendations here on FT.
2. I’d encourage doing an ultrasound of the penis if you haven’t already. This will help with diagnosis of the issue. If you follow step 1 above, the surgeon you pick will likely do this / help coordinate the diagnostics required.
As for getting the implant itself, I haven’t gotten it yet so I won’t speak to anything around that, but I’ve been through steps 1 + 2 above and that’s positioned me well to get to the next step (scheduling the surgery!).
Again, welcome to the forum!
Diagnosed with venous leak after having ED majority of my life. Grateful to have some answers, and considering both MPP and IPP as options.

This ^^^^
Clavell told me my insurance wouldn't cover it. Another surgeon told me it may not cover it, had his staff check it and low and behold they covered it. Get other opinions!
