Pump rigidity, reservoir amount and size gain

Postby 30sAdventurer » Tue Sep 02, 2025 6:41 am

Hello gang.

I’ve just been in for my second post-op meeting to discuss progress. I’m three weeks post-op now.

Size wise I was about 6 inches before surgery. With my glans engorged I’m probably around that now post surgery but about 5.5 inches without. So a result there.

Where I have lost out a bit at least at the moment is on girth, which I understand is a common complaint with the LGX. A few observations / questions for the group:

1. The consultant told me today that if the pump becomes very turgid/no more squeezing, then it means the reservoir is empty. This worried me a little bit as I’m failing to see how you would get more gains if the implant is full of the liquid. Thoughts welcome here - im panicking a bit they maybe haven’t filled my reservoir enough!

2. She did say that cycling should help with some gains. I am really hoping that I improve some girth as I was skinny before and am now skinnier. I’ll measure later to confirm where I’m at currently.

3. I’m wondering if I get some penis engorgement (ie the corpus cavernosum gets some blood flow) whether that’s the girth I’m missing. I’m keen to experiment maybe with cialis or viagra to see if that’s the fix. Cycling is a bit painful so I haven’t felt overly aroused in a way that makes it easy to engorge (though I have been able to ejaculate).

If I read this right, the pump gets hard?
If so, that should not be the final result.

I know after a couple minutes I can get in more pumps with a softening pump.
I can do that a number of times.

I would assume if the pump went slack that could mean it ran out of saline.

I think the consultant misspoke. If the pump is hard there is still fluid in the reservoir, but the cylinders are as full and they can’t accept more fluid.

If the reservoir is truly empty and the cylinders can still accept more fluid, a vacuum should form in the reservoir and the pump will “go flat” like a tire and be unable to be pumped. Several users on this forum have described it. It that case you are pretty much “maxxed out” on fluid and there’s nothing left to pump into the cylinders, so what you got is what you got in that scenario.

30sAdventurer, I agree with others that this doesn't sound right. And, that doesn't correlate with my experience pumping. But yes, strong engorgement normally increases girth. My wife confirmed that :)

Thank you all this is very reassuring.

What I take from this then is there’s more room for the cylinders to stretch and take more saline. Aka precisely what I’m looking for with the cycling.

In that case I shall continue on with the cycling and report back as I (hopefully!) see more progress :)
