After my initial surgery last year i noticed i lost sensation on the underside of my penis.
This is not a dealbreaker for sex as i still have sensation in the glans, where most of the sensitivity for sex happens. But it still sucks to not feel the underside of my penis.
I was expecting it to eventually come back but it didn't so far. I assume during the penoscrotal incision some nerve was cut and didn't get healed.
I wonder if anyone else had this and if eventually they somehow recovered sensation?
It really sucks because shaving my balls in the shower i did a huge cut on the underside of my penis and didn't even feel anything or notice it until it was too late, so i kept shaving and ended up removing a big chunk of skin. I realized then that i still have zero sensation in that area despite being a long time.

Discovernew,
Yes I've had similar numbness on the underside of my shaft since surgery.
From what I've read on here it seems fairly common.
I had a penoscrotal procedure so it makes sense that the nerves in that area could be affected.
Mine seems to be improving somewhat at ~6 months post op but it's an extremely slow process.
Like you I have good sensation in the glans and I can now orgasm about 90% of the time from PIV sex.
Nerves seem to be notoriously slow to heal. A long time ago I almost severed the top of a finger.
It wasn't sutured but simply glued back on, and I didn't regain full feeling in it for many years.
So I wouldn't give up on it but I'm guessing it could take a long time.
In the meantime be careful with the manscaping!
I also keep that area shaved but I use a cordless body groomer, which is far less dangerous.

Yes I have been reading quite a few posts about this. I wonder whether an infrapubic approach is better in this regard. In general the consensus among surgeons seems to be that with a penoscrotal approach the risk of injury to the neuro-vascular bundle is very close to zero. But I haven't seen any surgeons discuss the numbness on the underside in a penoscrotal approach.
55 years. Using bimix 0.4 units. Works well but inconsistent and very inconvenient. Seriously considering an implant. 6.4 inches bone pressed length to tip, 5 inches girth base, 4.5 inches girth mid-shaft.

Well it's already partially back but I'll update you on further progress, which I'm expecting might take a while.
