I'm sorry guys, I know I've been starting a few threads but after being offered a penile implant my heads all over the place.
I've been on sites like reddit and many would try to talk me out of it which I don't understand why they want to.
I've suffered from lifelong premature ejaculation and ED. Been taking Viagra since early 20's. Back then the premature ejaculation wasn't too much of a problem as I could still carry on fucking on Viagra. Although there was no such thing as spontaneous sex and that sucked.
Then I got older and the viagra stopped working, used pretty much everything under the sun. Best for me now with viagra I would sometime get hard and then having sex I'd cum super quick and deflate even faster. Feeling like a loser every...single..time.
When I went for an appointment, I thought the urologist would never recommend implant. He said either stick with what I have now or do the implant. I jumped on the Implant. Spontaneous sex and when I cum quick I'll still be able to carry on.
Many on here would say I shouldn't as I can sometimes get hard so I should be happy with that and implant should be used as a complete last resort.
For me this is the only shot I have for half decent sex life. ive had CBT for the premature ejaculation for many months and even the therapist told me that as co-operative as I was, she didn't think she could help. Sick and tired of taking dialy cialis and then using viagra or invicorp. (Caverject didn't work and hurt like hell) and then gambling if my dick would work only to last a few seconds.
So my question is to the people with an implant. Would you have done surgery if viagra only sometimes worked?
Does the implant make any difference to premature ejaculation?

No PE issues, but V would sometimes work pre-implant.
Sensitivity has definitely dropped since implant, so I would imagine that would help someone like you.
Get it done (with an experienced surgeon). No regrets here.

Thanks for your post and quite a relief that it was the same for you. Some people would prefer to suffer having a terrible sex life rather than get an implant have an appointment next week to look at the implants. It's London's UCLH so should be in good hands (I hope).
I'm 42 years old. I don't want another 5-6 years of this.

browny30, pills and injections would get me 70% there, but not really enough for PIV. Really really wish I'd done the implant years earlier. It's hard to describe how great it is to be hard whenever I want, as long as I want, and able to keep pleasing my wife after I've climaxed. As lionsmane described it seems common for guys to lose sensitivity post-op. I did, and at 6+ months I'm still regaining that, and it has the effect of delaying climax. Sometimes guys get very frustrated by that. There's no guarantee how anyone's body will react with regard to sensitivity.

That side effect would be a dream come true, I tried all, sertaline and priligy, numbing creams would only give me an extra few seconds if anything. In my 20's it was bad but the viagra would keep me hard but made me feel shit and even then other rounds where nowhere near as good or horny as the first.
viagra now doesn't work like it used to, Id sometimes get hard enough for penetration but it finishes fast and I'd go limp. Was surprised Caverject didn't work at all.
I'm definitely going to go ahead with it.
Thank you

browny30, there are a lot of considerations that go into the decision about an implant. Below are a couple of lists of topics worth reviewing :

Do it! Sounds to me like you associate sex with so much fear and anxiety around side effects, lack of spontaneity and failure. An implant will flip the script on that. Most of us life-long sufferers say we wish we did it earlier. I would go for it.

50. Implanted 5/21/2024 at Kaiser SSF. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.

It definitely is, I remember watching family guy with the mrs and there was a cutaway where the guy with ED is about to have sex but he was pointing at things like "did you hear that... what's over there?". Then turns to the woman saying "Oh I can't there's too much going on". That was me and I felt so humiliated. Things like these really affect you!!

Hi mate,
I'm 43 and also have been having issues since my late 20's, I don't have PE though. Have you tried taking a really low dose antidepressant for the PE?, my doctor said it's commonly prescribed to guys that have PE. I take antidepressants for actual depression and one of the annoying side effects is that it can be really hard to finish.
With the ED stuff, I'm personally in no man's land at the moment. I'm still getting mixed inconsistent results with pills. My urologist wants me to keep at them as long as possible, i have mixed feelings about that.
It sucks that you didn't have any luck with the injection

43, ED since late 20's, Pills on and off since then increasing strengths with inconsistent results. Now 5mg Cialis daily and either 20mg Cialis or 100mg Viagra
Not sure if it's Psychological or Physiological, long-term use of SSRI's probably hasn't helped
