Questions I never asked after my surgery.

Hi All,

I'm 2 years in to getting my Titan implant and overall i've been happy. Being able to have my body perform how i've always wanted is still crazy to me. My wife is a person who's happy having sex once a week and i'm over here trying to explain that its not easy to keep this ability bottled up.

Looking back on how I got here though I realize I was so happy just to be getting to this place that maybe I didnt take the time to do everything I should do so i was hoping you all could help answer some questions.

#1 I'm for sure an inch to 1.25 shorter than I was. Can I still do anything to help grow back into that. Some of what ive read says with Titans no but some others say they have had success.
#2 am I limited on #1 by how much my Dr filled? If i think or find its underfilled is it a easier procedure to add more saline?
#3 Girth wise it seems the base is half inch bigger than the rest of the shaft can i do anything about this ? VED?
#4 Ive seen some posts here that say they stick basically straight up when they are fully pumped. When I'm fully pumped I dont stand straight up id say its more slightly pointed down i think the first year it might have been more pointed up is this concerning?
#5 Seems like 2 years later visiting this forum i'm saying more revision talk than i did then. How do you know when you have a failure you just pump and pump and nothing happens? I pump to 16 and thats basically my max so if that starts fading I should start worrying?
#6 Do you guys pump to max everytime you have sex or to like 75-80% Do you do the same if youre just masturbating?

Yes you can get back any size you lost. It didn't disappear and leave your body forever. What is the reason you lost? Not enough VED use before the surgery and you didn't get the best sized implant to fit? Or not enough cycling and VED use after the surgery (probably about a year, doing it every day) and you didn't recover all you had before? Either way, exercising with a vacuum erection device (VED) and a traction device now and until your next revision will get you back to where you were. Or more. Also Titans can increase size, takes a lot of exercising and cycling.

I didnt know to use VED pre op. I did cycle every day for the first year but it was always short and I was sad this whole time.

Wish the doctor who gave you the implant had known of VEDs and told you. This Sellers et al. study from way back in 2009 was published and explained why VEDs are needed pre-implant. And it got mentioned over and over in other studies about this topic. I was thinking I'd never read it before cause I recall it being pretty long but I looked it up now and it's really short and simple:



Guess your doctor never learned of that, or did and didn't care about your size since the implant solves everything you need solved from his perspective, or similarly doesn't want to risk you hurting yourself. I don't know anything about being a doctor but it seems complicated and I'm not sure what reasons it might be.

Either way if the size you lost means that much to you and you want it back, you can get it back. Even if you don't try very hard with traction devices and everything you'll probably get a lot back anyway just from sufficient exercising now and with revisions.

P.S. My doctor didn't tell me about VEDs either. Maybe cause my Vicodin abuse solved that problem anyway so I didn't need one. Either way I hope this becomes much more common implant knowledge like it should be.

Didn't really need to do anything. That link in my signature says it under "What am I doing now?" AMS 700 LGX is great for length expansion and girth too, but seems 5.5" (14cm) is the max girth it can support. So I lost some and could afford to fix it with a Titan so I did. The new fun update I need to write tomorrow is I totally got that back and more!!!

Maybe. Are you still cycling regularly? If not I recommend starting back up and see if that helps. No harm in trying.

Possibly. Are you squeezing the pump bulb flat at your maximum inflation level? Usually you will have received documentation at the time of your procedure with the implant details including reservoir volume and fill level. I have read that you can get a procedure to add more saline but I don't know the details.

I don't know if a VED would even it out. It seems common to be thicker at the base anyway. In my experience the implant can increase that and the tubing can also make it bigger depending on placement.

Seems to vary a lot. Pre ED I used to point to around 2 pm. Now it's more like 3 pm or just after but I first curve down the upwards, like a banana. Works fine for me. If everything is working well and you are happy I wouldn't worry about it.

Too early for me at just over 5 months to think about possibility of revision unless a significant problem develops.
The number of pumps seems to vary a lot between implantees. I start maxing out at around 30 pumps but can still add pressure to 60 or more. Even after that if I do Perito exercises or even just leave it for a while I can usually get more "mini pumps" in.
If 16 pumps gets you hard enough for penetrative sex and the implant isn't deflating then it sounds like everything is working?

I'm still experimenting but most of the time I go for maximum inflation for both sex and masturbation.
I've recently overcome the initial post op inflation pain barrier and now comfortable for significant periods while rock hard.

Likely to be Petechiae. When I was using a VED I would sometimes get oedema and bruising from pumping too aggressively.
I think I also had Petechiae once from memory. It should disappear within a week or so but always follow up with your doctor if any ongoing concerns.
