Hi guys.. I'm thinking of getting an implant. But I'm not sure and thats why I'm asking you for all your opinion.
Just so you know, I respond well to viagra. If i take 2 pills of 100mg I'm able to get erect for 1.5 days. Of course, taking 2 pills isn't recommended by my uro. And it causes headache and high discomfort.
I've used trimix. But when I inject, the erection stays on for 2 or more hours. If I use less of a dose, I dont get erect.
This is why I'm thinking of getting an implant so I dont have to deal with the effects of viagra and injections. Please let me know if you think I should or shouldn't. Looking forward to your replies!

Hi Dan.. Very comforting to receive your response. I'm 54 tears old, have had ED for 29 years. I have responded well to viagra before but in 2012 I switched to trimix in order to get erect quickly. These were once a week injections. I had stopped using trimix in 2016 cuz I was able to get erect without it. But I haven't had sex since.
But in 2022, in a shocking turn of events, I was able to have sex without use of trimix or pills. It was weird but amazing news.
In 2024 on vacation in Europe I used trimix again for the first time since 2016. I used it 3 times every other day in 1 week. Stupidly, in each session, I injected 4 - 5 times cuz my regular dose from 2016 (3 units) didn't work anymore. I didn't know my dosage so I experimented by injecting a few times to see what worked. Yes it was very stupid to do that but I was under pressure to perform.
In May of this year I used trimix again.. But stupidly again, I injected a few times during each session cuz I still didn't know what was my ideal dosage. I still don't even today. Anyway, I used it 3 times every other day. The 1st 2 times it worked but failed the 3rd time.
It seems that my penis can't take trimix more than 2 times a week.
3 weeks ago I used 2 pills of viagra 100mg each for a total of 200mg. For close to 2 days I was able to get erections although I couldn't feel any libido. I felt bad headaches, eye pain and upper back pain.
My uro recently suggested using both viagra and trimix together. I don't know, but the thought of using this combo sends chills down my spine.
I'll use the viagra again when I go to Europe next week. I'm thinking of possibly brining trimix on the trip.
So that's where I'm at. Let me know what you think. Looking forward to your reply.

Re: Should I get an implant?
Macoza,
look, to play around with Viagra and Trimix, not knowing exactly what works and what not, it's quite difficult and might be dabgerous, if you overdose any of them. You report already side effects of overdose of Viagra, which is not very good.
If you knew what exactly works for you, fine, but not knowing what works in which dosage, isn't that good solution.
I'm a fan of an implant, since I got it, it always works on demand and I can fuck whenever I want, whomever I want, where I want, how long I want or need, for how long the girl wants to have my cock, iron-hard or softer (for oral). Thus my recommendation is always an implant.
Most important is to choose a high volume implanter to avoid risks and complications and just go for it!
You'll love it and forget about Viagra and Trimix and just fuck, when you need it.

Don't listen to Dan
You will destroy your natural penis with an implant. That's a lot more dangerous to your penis than Viagra or Trimix
Don't do the implant, it is irreversible and you will lose your natural arousal

Re: Should I get an implant?
It appears that you currently can get and keep an erection with Viagra and Tri-mix, but the results are not reliable.
If this is true, I would first try, with the help of a good doctor, to get the Viagra and Tri mix to work reliably.
If that fails, a penile implant is a fantastic solution, as it has been for me. For me, Viagra and Tri mix worked for a while, until it didn’t. Thank god the implant was a solution for me in the end.
Please note that I have an implant, and I still feel the sensation of sexual arousal and blood going into my penis. Do not listen to Mark1974.

Re: Should I get an implant?
Ok I'm now very confused by each of your replies. One person says to get an implant and the other person says to not get one.
I really don't know which to believe and as a result I'm vey scared about what to do.

Re: Should I get an implant?
If I were you (well: this is exactly what I am doing), I would try to take 5-10 mg Cialis daily (up to 10 mg is safe, some take even 20 mg), and add Viagra 100-150mg in case of sex. When I am totally relaxed, the daily dose of Cialis is even enough for sex.
This works for me and is keeping me from an implant right now, though I often think: F*** it and get an implant to have all that ED overthinking after you.

49, healthy, fit. Mild-moderate ED for 10 years due to nerve damage. On 5mg Cialis daily. Looking for a miracle cure.

Will you stop trying to poison every user who comes here looking for advice?!?
It's fine to say "for me this happened"...it's fucking irresponsible to say "this will happen to you." Most men have implants and are thrilled with them. Some less so. A very few are unhappy afterwards.
In the end only the individual patient can decide whether an implant is appropriate. Not people on this forum, or even a surgeon or anybody else. If you are tired of other treatments or they are unsatisfactory, then an implant might be a good choice. It's not perfect (no treatment is), and there are some risks, but most men that get them are very satisfied.
I suggest doing a ton of research. Read papers on satisfaction rates, complications, frequency of revisions, etc. Also use AI to distill information to you and ask specific questions about aspects that concern you. Be your own advocate.

Re: Should I get an implant?
I struggled with non-spontaneous, dose-dependent, unreliable (for me) and quality-of-life-reducing ED pharmacotherapy for 20 years of my precious irreversible youth. Life is too short. Get the implant and optimize your existence. I think there’s no reward without risk and mediocrity is not a solution. Seeking a high-volume surgeon is a calculated risk that's worth it. This is my biased take based on my personal experience and personality.
Seek opinions in ED pills forum and injection forum as well. People always have smart tricks on dealing with side effects and titrating the dose in a safe and effective manner.
Seek 2nd and 3rd opinions from experienced general urologist and high-volume implant surgeons to cover your bases. Ask them both about the pros and cons of implants. They see ED patients every day in different stages and can offer experience based opinions to strengthen your decision making.
