Ventral side numbness persists at 10.5 months, from base to tip. Scrotum is fine. No major improvements since the surgery. What’s the likely prognosis?
Thanks

I had 2 dick surgeries within 1 year: 1 MPP and 1 circumcision. It's difficult to climax with PIV. My wife enjoys multiple orgasms with my implant. I enjoy multiple orgasms with sex toys, such is life!

This is a side effect of implant surgery that isn't given a lot of attention, and I think the implant surgeons tend to minimize it or not even mention it. Mine didn't. Most people on this board report that it eventually improves substantially or entirely, but this can take a year or more to occur. In my case, I wasn't able to have an orgasm for about 4 months, and then it was only with a strong vibrator like a Hitachi wand. After that, it did improve, but it's not entirely back to normal yet, 1.5 years out. I find that using urethral alprostadil gel (e.g., "Trimix urethral gel" from University Compounding Pharmacy in San Diego) improves sensitivity, and things feel pretty close to what they did before prostate cancer surgery, followed by implant surgery. The urethral gel improves glans engorgement and "cold glans syndrome" as well.

Well said. This reality is similar to the PSSD caused by psychiatric medications, widely discussed by those affected in the forums and online platforms but not yet recognized as a mainstream fact. Thanks for mentioning about the urethral gel. Is this gel injected into the urethra or can we also just apply them on the glans?

In the US what's available is a gel or small tablet that is inserted in the urethra with a syringe for the gel, or applicator to insert the tablet. These are only available from a compounding pharmacy. (Just to be clear, the tip of a syringe with no needle attached is placed into the opening of the urethra. Never put a needle near an inflatable penile prosthesis!) Outside the US there is a gel product called Vitaros that comes in little single use packets, and may be covered by insurance. It is applyied by dripping it from the opened packet into/onto the tip of the penis while squeezing the head of the penis to get the urethral meatus to open up a bit.

lionsmane, I cannot answer your question directly. But I've experienced a decrease in sensation and have done a small amount of reading for myself. FWIW -- below is a link to a summary of related information.
