Insomnia

Postby Mark1974 » Fri Jun 20, 2025 11:18 pm

Anyone suffering any insomnia from their implants?

I have an MPP, so the constant pressure is a big part of the insomnia, but I also think the lack of blood flow in the vascular space where my spongy tissues used to be is a big factor. A lot happens during sleep to the chambers of the penis and with the chambers disrupted by two rods I just don't feel the same when I shut my eyes and try to sleep
Born 6/15/74. I have substantial venous leak with fairly severe hour-glassing, but no hard plaques. My urologist is Dr. Laurence Levine who performed a Doppler Ultrasound and diagnosed me with VL in 2020. Surgery scheduled for Coloplast Genesis 5/19/25

Hi

No never and never heard about a problem like that. Maybe it's caused by something else.

Good luck

I was prescribed Percocet opioid pain med. I took one each night during recovery and it help me with sleep and it worked, but this shit also caused constipation, so I had to rely on laxatives to stay regular.

To uncircumcised considering MPP:
Subcoronal approach --> high risk of post-op paraphimosis and lifelong preputial edema. Recommend discussing penoscrotal approach.

I’m not uncircumcised, but this warning is of great value. Thanks!

I just had implant with scrotoplasty Friday the Thirteenth of June. I only stay current with ibuprofen as far as meds I prop my feet up on a pillow case filled with three pillows and I use heat when I start to relax, but I do alternate with icing my nutz if I’m feeling a lil more pain.
I do get a lil paranoid when pain shifts from place to place and search to see if it is normal, but other than that my optimism is sky high and look for the best outcome not the “what ifs”.
