Question about cycling Tenacio pump

Postby JohnDoe » Tue May 27, 2025 10:14 am

I just recently started cycling my Tenacio pump a few days ago. I understand the components are brand new, and take time to break in. I'm having to do what seems like a massive amount of mini squeezes in order to max out because I cant get a full squeeze on the pump just yet. I'm curious what others have experienced with their Tenacio pumps. Any advice or insight is greatly appreciated.

JohnDoe, I'm about 4 months post-op and have a Tenacio pump. Mine was very very stiff in the beginning but is easy to use now. I remember wondering how I was ever going to make that work in advance of sex :D . As the pump softened, the number and types of pumps has changed over time -- here's what its like now to get to 100%:
o 10-15 "full pumps" easy to squeeze, and the pump feels like its collapsing 1/2-3/4 of the way, it never feels like it collapses 100%
o 5-8 "half pumps", harder to squeeze, and the pump feels like its collapsing about 1/4 of the way
o 5-8 "micro pumps", hard to squeeze, can feel small increments of inflation and the pump feels like its collapsing about 1/8 of the way
After that, I can do a couple micro pumps every few minutes -- but that's when the pressure, or minor dull pain, starts in the upper shaft and glans. I interpret that as incremental stretching.
After that, I can still squeeze the pump a little bit, but it seems like the sides of the pump are just bulging out a little (now that its softer), and I stop feeling incremental inflation. When the pump was new it would get hard like a marble, but now I think the sides just flex a little when pumped to 100%.
FWIW, during PIV sex, I pump to 85-95%. My wife likes that much better than rock hard stiff, and says it feels more natural with the contour inside her. Plus the sensation is better for me.
The only time she felt part of the implant during PIV sex was at 100% inflation, when she thought she felt the tip(s) of the cylinders. That doesn't happen at 85-95% inflation.

That is some great information. Thank you so much.

Many people seem to count pumps, but I just make lots of small squeezes till it's the hardness I want.

For what it's worth, I use a one handed grip, cradling the bulb in my right hand and pressing it into the pad of my thumb with my first and second fingers. Sometimes I guess I'm squeezing more with my second and third fingers. Occasionally when the ball is really stiff, like when it's been in the "drain" position for a while, I will use both thumbs, but otherwise I go one handed.

This position doesn't work well for a small number of giant pumps, so I just keep pumping till it's full. I can feel the fullness progress by how hard the pump is. Towards the end it is definitely very hard. Sometimes I'll also feel my cock with my other hand. I do this especially if I am doing a partial pump ahead of time that I'll be keeping in my pants. I'll press my cock over the right and pump till it's plump but not yet pushing hard away from my body.

I agree with you that "as hard as possible" often is not the best way to go. I think I generally go to somewhere in your transition zone between "half pumps" and "micro pumps". I love your terminology. For sex, the end comes with the "fast strokes", but in this case, the end comes with the "micro pumps".

I'm at 7 mo post op with the Tenacio. It will soften and get easier to pump over time. My experience is almost identical to Kodix et all.
I can feel the fluid flowing thru the tubing on the first full squeezes, then go to smaller ones.
I don't count pumps, but recognize the comfort of 75% inflation vs drive a nail thru a 2x4 hardness. I can always add in a couple of reinforcing pumps if needed.
Holding the release button firmly for about 5 sec helps deflation. I used to squeeze it out, but only do that now if I'm showing too much wood and the wife is drooling.
