Which implant do the majority of you favor on this forum?
The AMS700 LGX or the Coloplast Titan/OTR
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
You would be happy with either model ... there are some determining factors, such as your penis size, Peyronies (fibrous scar tissue). Some models are best suited for these conditions. I would say it's about 60-40 here in favor of AMS ...

IMHO selection of the surgeon is more important than the selection of the device. The surgeon you select will probably have a definitive recommendation for you based on your specific issues and based on his particular biases toward one device or the other.
Your question is a frequent one, and if you take the time to research the archives you will see a lot of discussion. People are happy with both the LGX and Titan, as well as the CX. There are a few unhappy with their results, some with the LGX and some with the Titan, though it seems to me most of the time the unhappiness relates to installation issues (ie. issues under control of the surgeon) rather than issues with the specific device.

My doc uses either the Titan or the AMS. He chooses based on what he thinks is best for your anatomy. I did not ask him what his criteria is. He does not use the AMS LGX though, only the CX. He thinks that the CX better than the LGX if the surgeon measures the patient correctly. Others here are very happy with the LGX though. He has done about 1000 implants so I just trusted his judgement.

Hi Mike,
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004.
The Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife.
We celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary on September 8, 2012 and have been fully enjoying my Titan Implant for
the past 5 years and counting.
Also, the Implant does not interfere with any of my physical activities, weight-lifting, swimming, etc.
I agree with Rim that it is very important to choose a highly experienced and skilled Implant Surgeon.
Wishing you a lifetime of enjoyment with your upcoming Implant.
Best Wishes,
Bob
