What were some unexpected benefits of getting an implant, besides the obvious? And what were some positions you had quietly given up on ever performing before, that you really enjoy doing now?
Genetically sky-high Lp(a) of 390 led to various heart diseases. Ultra-low testosterone of 120 (now 480 with Clomid) also contributed to ED at age 41. Managing with daily Cialis, but for me, the implant is a "when", not an "if".

I’ve experienced an improvement in ejaculation. However, on account of the angle of my implant, I can’t have missionary sex anymore, which is a drag.
40. Implanted July 5, 2024, by Dr. Andrew Kramer, Urology Associates of Cape Cod. AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.

Nocturne, no unexpected benefits, just a great On Demand Bionic Dick that is ready when you are.

Because I had done a lot of reading on this site before IPP surgery I didn’t have many surprises but would say regaining my confidence as a man was a great benefit and a bit of a surprise how much confidence had been lost.
67years,fighting ed for over twenty years. A sever break, vit E, pataba, Viagra, massage Ved cilas, and I'm tired- throwing in the towel, Op for implant Mar 18, 2021 AMS LGX 18 x12 + 1 3cm RTE, gained girth and length, very glad I took the hard step.

Nocturne, not sure about "unexpected", but I've been surprised how often the concern crossed my mind about the erection lasting as long as I want. When we change positions, or take a short break, or I walk past a fan blowing cold air -- I'd often get that concern about the erection and have to remind myself that with the implant "I've got this"

Post-op my angle is between 3 and 4 o'clock. That's made missionary a little different, mostly getting started, but still doable. What angle are you working with, and is missionary not possible because you can't push from that angle ?

Sir , I want to go for penile implant in case of hard flaccid syndrom...concerning can I get my erect length after an implant...one more question what was your hard flaccid state length before implant and length s after implant

No more cold shrinkage. No more unexpected erection causing embarrassment. (If I have an embarrassing erection, it's because I decided to!)

More comfortable during the day because even when deflated (I won't say flaccid, because it's never that), it lies nicely in my underwear.
Pre implant, I'd have to adjust after bending down, for example, so was often uncomfortable.
It's also a nice feeling having that semi engorged sensation all day.
On the other question, mine sits at 2 o'clock fully pumped, whereas pre prostatectomy, it was at 1 o'clock. Missionary position needs a little swivel of the hips, but doggy is perfect.

RALP with 75% nerve sparing 10/24.
Some tumescence from 5 weeks post op. Erection improved with pills, stalling @ 60%

Some of my unexpected benefits are similar to what others have posted but I'll list them anyway:
* Becoming a shower - wasn't sure I'd get that but really happy I did.
* Regaining both my sexual confidence and overall male confidence.
* No more cold shrinkage. I've tested this a few times in our now very cold swimming pool.
* Like doggedly said it's pleasant feeling semi engorged all the time and larger.
* More intense orgasms (when I get them - still early on and can be hit and miss).
* Glans and dick suddenly swell with arousal and become extremely hard, just before orgasm. Feels like a natural erection.
* Actually realizing just how hard I can get and stay that way, potentially indefinitely. I know that's the objective but actually doing it I found surprising.
* Sometimes I get some spontaneous engorgement and a partial erection if aroused; and sometimes for no apparent reason at all.
It's not a boner but it feels good, and very unexpected since I had absolutely zero erectile function for 3 years post prostatectomy.
Positions are a bit restrictive for us. I can still do pretty much anything but my wife is less agile these days.
We have tried all sorts of different things in the past but standing doggy works best for her now.
I used to really enjoy having her legs over my shoulders. I could still do that position but she would be too uncomfortable.
70 y.o. married from Sydney Oz. PC and nerve sparing RRP 2022, but still profound ED since. Tried pills, injections, shockwave therapy, VED. Finally implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal.
