Never fails to amaze me, the quick n insightful responses I get to my (probably very fookin daft) questions. Franktalk rocks. This time it’s a malleable sizing query:
Now ‘up and at her,’ full-blooded boner, I’m about 6 to 6.5”. Very happy with it; no issues there.
No, my worry is the comedy shrinkage when the chap is flaccid. We’re talking 3-3.5”, I reckon.
I understand with an inflatable, this is less of an issue. The chap expands when the hydraulics do their thing.
But with malleable, I keep hearing people say your stretched out flaccid is what you’ll end up with erect, post-op.
Is this right?
I like the idea of a no-fuss/no-muss malleable but not if my erection is gonna be a chipolata!
Any guidance, definitive answers here massively appreciated

Malleable sizing
44 years old. Shingles seems to have brought on VL 10 years back. NHS and Private healthcare say ‘keep taking the blue-pills, champ!’ Never managed to obtain a definitive medical explanation for my ED, which gets on my tits more than I can say.

Not my experience, though it was a risk I was willing to take. I actually have found that with time and healing my natural malleable penis is now about the same size as my former natural erection. Some natural engorgement to the glans helps of course. Don't draw any conclusions until a few months after surgery. Sometimes I looked smaller, sometimes I looked bigger. The penis changes in response to various conditions (temperature, hydration, stress, etc.) whether or not you have an implant.
Born 1990. ED since age 20 after a bicycle accident. Coloplast Genesis malleable implanted December 2024. Read my implant journal here.

Re: Malleable sizing
With a 6.5 inch girth, my gut feeling is that you will lose some girth with the malleable rods, unless you retain strong residual erection post-surgery to help compensate. I think this is more common for above average girths. It's more for you to decide if the girth trade off is worth it and getting into it with realistic expectations.

Apologies, Last Hope, I should have clarified: the size dimensions refer to length; no idea bowt girth; guess I’d need a tailor’s measuring tape or string n a ruler to work that one out.

No worries, Ray. Thanks for clarifying! I remember seeing a post where Dr. Hakky, who’s generally supportive of malleables when expected girth loss isn’t significant, actually recommended against one for someone with a 6+ inch erect girth. I think that approach is thoughtful. I’d much rather make an informed choice than face a surprise outcome. Good luck!
