Hello everyone, I just got released from the Hospital, and I'm back my hotel room with a lovely ice pack keeping my brand new implant company. I had the BEST experience with the Sutter Health team here in Sacramento. Everyone was absolutely amazing to deal with. Doctor Thompson was incredible! So friendly, answered all my questions, and best of all she made me feel relaxed, and confident in my decision! She took EXCELLENT care of me. I highly recommend her for anyone in the greater Sacramento/
Northern California area!
So here I sit in my hotel room with a catheter and JP drain in place which will hopefully be removed tomorrow. My wife has set me up with an arsenal of food, and supplies to get me through until tomorrow's follow up appointment.
I want to thank every person on Franktalk who has provided such great advice and insight. It has helped me make the decision to get the procedure done. The only down side at the moment is walking around with this hilarious erection poking straight out. It's as if I need one of those dog cones from the veterinarian' office to keep from bumping it on things. I'm sure the pain will start setting in soon enough so I'll stay on top of the pain meds too.
I updated my signature, but I'll post my stats here just in case anyone is curious. I was given the option of an AMS700CX or the LGX model. Doctor Thompson felt the CX was more rigid, but gave me the option to choose. I elected for the CX as well. I checked my surgery notes, and I received a 24cm CX with 1CM RTE extender on the left and a 2CM RTE on the right. Very curious to see what everything looks like once the swelling goes away.
If anyone has any questions, or wants to know a play by play of how the procedure went, please please please feel free to reach out anytime. I'm happy to send pictures, or give a detailed account of this amazing experience....even the hilarious aspects of it.

Good morning Everyone,
Day 4 post op has arrived. All I can is is "WOW"...the learning curve immediately goes way up. Even the most basic tasks you take for granted become an opportunity to relearn a different approach to completing them.
I have been alternating between Ibuprofen and Tylenol as directed which has been just fine. I've saved the Percocet for bed time if I need it. I've also been spending my days in a recliner with bags of peas which feel amazing. At night I sleep on the couch so I can slide my underwear and shorts down to set my boys free for a while. That is what feels the best.
I ended up purchasing some toddler socks which have worked out great. Just have to cut off the elastic band so they don't constrict too tightly. The toddler socks really help eliminate chaffing! Other than that it's been loose shorts, and big t-shirts to stay comfortable.
I'm super swollen, purple, and tender. I'm still amazed the doctor wants me to start pulling down on the pump after day 3 or 4. I'm really nervous to do it, but I'll have to give it the old college try. It does feel like it's already in the vicinity of where it needs to be.
I've taken quite a few pictures. I'll see if I can post some pre and post op pics. I measured the day after surgery just out of curiosity with no real expectations. Looks like I lost 1 inch, but it appears to be coming back now that some of the swelling is going down. Either way I am so thrilled, and will be 100% content even if I stay at the size I am now. It's hard as a rock, and my mental state has immediately shifted. It's unbelievable how the anxiety and depression feel like they have simply melted away.
I'll close there for now. I hope all is well with everyone, and happy Mother's Day!
