I’m 27. I get proper nocturnal erections, random erections, but only erections for sex when i’m *extremely* aroused. Always been like this.
Sex always goes like this: tell her i’m shy (to prepare her for the ED), ask her to suck me off (very embarrassing with a limp dick), and then, about 50% of the time, i manage to come close to orgasm at which point i’m fully erect. I then stop her, and i can have good sex, but usually only in 1 position because when I switch i lose focus and my erection immediately dies.
I think my penis is physiologically not perfect, but okay. I have yet to try injections (trying to get PGE, which isn’t approved in my country), but feel an implant is what I truly need if i ever want to enjoy the experience of sex, including the anticipation, instead of only feeling good after the fact (“i did it!”).
Making a decision to irreversibly destroy your healthy penis is horrible, but at the same time these are my prime sex years. I wish implant technology didn’t exist, or I was just fully impotent, so i didn’t have to make this impossible decision.
Impossible decision

Re: Impossible decision
Hi Gadsi. True, 27 is young, on the other hand you described a situation that happens to many men, and over time it only gets worse, in any case you described a situation that requires change. I think that in the first stage if you want and are built for it (less spontaneous) you should try injections that in most cases work well, and if you don't like the injections. I think you should get an implant and not continue to suffer. That's my opinion. Good luck.

at your age you should have 0 issues
go with implant, even if the op fails you have nothing to lose

Re: Impossible decision
Hi New Hope. I read in your signature that they filled 90 ml. Is that true? I had a 65 ml reservoir inserted, but the doctor only inserted 55. From what I read, this really has a critical impact on the strength of the erection.

this is another topic, don't post random question
in any case I believe 55cc is fine for LGX 18, don't worry also there isn't much you can do right now

The depressing truth. I will give injections a try, and then go for implant if it fails

Gadslee,
your penis is not healthy and it will get worse.
However, first try pills and injections and if that doesn't work sufficiently or you don't like it, you have the option for an implant, which is a great choice!
All the best

Brother if you get proper nocturnal erections, this is probably a sign of a healthy penis.. maybe not but before implant, have you tried counselling??

Re: Impossible decision
ED is awful no matter the circumstances.
Figuring out what to do about it is challenging going when there is SOME (but inadequate) function. I’d get nocturnal erections waking with morning wood but like you it would go away quickly. My erections were too soft and undependable. When I was close to orgasm I would be rigid enough but getting to that point was a lot.
I liked my (shitty) erections. They were MINE. Even though they didn’t work well enough I still liked the stirring feeling when I got turned on. I still liked morning wood. I didn’t want to lose that. But I accepted that my current situation wasn’t good enough. I had made my way through the various pills. I exhausted everything shots could do for me. Implant was the next step. If I wanted to have reliable erections that was the solution.
You mention the difficulty of making a decision to irreversibly destroy your healthy penis. Your penis isn’t healthy. You wouldn’t be in this situation if it was. I had to have the same shift in thinking. Like most guys I am VERY attached to my penis. LOL. But it wasn’t capable of doing what I need it to do.
I was lucky enough to find that a couple FrankTalk guys lived in my area. Over about a year I met three of them in person and they gave me a demo of their implant. Seeing how natural/normal it looked and how well it would be able to function got me off the fence. It made me much more comfortable with moving forward.
Six weeks ago I got implanted and I’m incredibly happy with the decision. I’ve been able to have sex and not worry about IF it will work. I have no regrets at all.
If you haven’t already done so, find a great urologist that specializes in Mens sexual function, not just kidney stones, but someone who has experience in treating ED. Try the various pills available to you. Try whatever shots containing prostaglandins, Papaverine, and Phentolomine are available. Keep pushing forward. Keep pushing until you find something that works reliably. If none of those work get to the best implant surgeon you can reach. You are at an age where you should be having great sex and falling in love. Not worrying about your erections.
Hang in there and keep pushing forward.

I echo this. I say just go for the implant. You deserve to be happy.
