I had my six week appointment yesterday with Dr Carrion and he cleared me for sex. I’ve complained previously on Franktalk about numbness. Dr Carrion says the sensation should return over time.
I fucked my girlfriend last night and this morning for the first time in a year. You’d think it would be fantastic. It wasn’t. My dick is numb. I couldn’t tell whether my dick was inside her or not. While I couldn’t tell whether go as long as I wanted, what’s the point. An orgasm simply seems impossible right now, though I was able to have them before this operation. I wasn’t enjoying it and neither was she.
One comment really got to me. My girlfriend said,”when I have sex with a guy, I get him hard and I know he’s turned on. That turns me on. You pump it up. It all seems so mechanical. Are you just going through the motions?”
I don’t know how to overcome this one. She says that having sex with a guy with an implant isn’t weird, but apparently it is for her.
I’m hoping for better times in the future. Right now, I’m pretty discouraged.

6 weeks?
NO WAY you are fully healed yet
Of course it's not going to feel right yet
A sprinter is not going to compete at the same level if his broken ankle hasn't fully healed.
This is not an oil change.
This takes time.
Expect roughly three months before it even begins to feel like your old self again.

Hi Osprey, did you lose sensation everywhere in your penis? or only some particular area? Did the doctor say wether this is common and for how long?
Implanted October 11, 2024, Dr Karaman. Infla10 AX 20cm +1cm RTE.

Your gf isn't good for you. You need support not punchlines.

Re: First sex - awful
I’ve lost sensation in about 3/4 of my penis. The entire left side is numb. On the right side, there is feeling towards the top, underneath the glans penis. Apparently, it’s not enough to signal my brain for an orgasm. I’m trying to envision a life without happy endings right now. My doctor simply says, sensation “should” return. It’s not reassuring. I know I should just be patient … and I would be if I felt confident that the feeling will return at some point. But in the dead of night, when all the negative thoughts come flooding out, I see myself going through life with a rock hard dick that is totally useless. It’s a mind thing, I know. I just need to know that this is temporary. When you’ve had cancer and experienced setback after setback, it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I just want my life back.

No sensation here as well with vaginal sex and I have a semi-rigid. I can only cum or orgasm with a hand job. I can fuck for 5 hours but I CAN'T orgasm inside my wife's pussy. SENSITIVITY DIDN'T COME BACK.

Did your surgeons use a penoscrotal or infrapubic approach?

Like Hikerman said, slow down. You are way too early to worry about that.
It took me a couple of months before I could reach climax. Even then it was vicious, sweat-enducing pounding for at least an hour the first few times. It became better. But slowly. And I'm nearing the one-year post-op mark.
Surgeon highly likely messed with nerves when he did the implant, and then and all the rest needs to heal. Six weeks is hardly enough time!
If, after 3 months or more you still have issues, consider your meds. I was on gabapentin, and that causes orgasm issues. Then I checked out Zoloft/sertraline, and found even my low dose could cause delayed ejacs. One week off that and there was a big improvement!
So, hang in there. Relax. Tell gf to chill. You're going to love it after 6 months or a year.

ED worsened over 25 years, likely VL. Went through pills and injections, and results faded over time. Implant AMS 700CX, 21 cm, no RTE, on 6/3/24.

You hit the bulls eye. I was on gabapentin for 2 months post op. SHIT! Sounds like my surgeon fixed my ED with an implant and ripped me off my PIV orgasms with Gabapentin. Motherfucker.
