I’m almost 6 weeks since my implant. I have an appt with my doc next week. I was hoping that I’d be ready for sex at this time, but honestly, I can’t see it happening anytime soon.
1- much of my dick including the glans penis is numb.
2- when I cycle, I have stinging pain at the tip and at the Cruz. I can stay hard for an hour, but it’s not fun.
3- much of my scrotum is painful to the touch.
4- the tips of the implant seen alarmingly close to the tip of my dick and I’m afraid of erosion. When I alerted the doc to this at my 2 week appointment, she said all was OK . But I’m not sure I believe her.
5- After almost a year without PIV sex, my girlfriend is anxious to move this thing along and seems to be under the impression that at 6 week, we will get the go ahead and everything will be fine. Since she has no dick, she really can’t imagine what is like to experience the sort of pain we’ve all been going through.
6- in the flaccid state, this thing is incredibly uncomfortable. Just finding a place to put it in my pants is a challenge.
So, long story short, I can’t even imagine fucking with this dick right now. I am disappointed and afraid that this numbness will be permanent. I try to keep a positive attitude, but it’s getting harder each day.
Has any one else experienced similar problems?

Osprey, you are in the same place that I was at 6 weeks. I was soooo looking forward to get back to making love to my honey, but I just wasn't ready. I waited two more weeks till week 8 to have sex and even then it was painful, numb, sore and any other words you can think of. Even though it was good to have a stiff dick again and be able to have sex with my wife, it was not great at all. It was awkward because of the numbness trying to find her hole and bang that thing. I had to guide it in and she helped me. I had pumped up ahead of time so that I would be ready and I was in a considerable amount of pain when we started having PIV sex. I should have taken some tylenol but I didn't think about it.
I emailed my doc the next day and he said to just take baby steps, because I over did it. My dick hurt for two days afterward.
We all heal different, so listen to your body.
I would say that sex for me wasn't great until about 4 months.
Let me tell you, things will get better every day and before long sex will be great again. My wife wasn't as horny as your wife is right now, so I had more time to heal.

But this last year she got hormone replacement therapy and her libido has really kicked in to high gear, so I'm glad that my dick doesn't hurt anymore because she can wear it out, even at the young age of 62

Hang in there Osprey, before you know it, your Bionic Weapon will be ready for war

Osprey_1, very sorry to hear about your situation. FWIW, I wasn't ready until almost 8 weeks. They wanted me to start cycling at 6 weeks but I was too swollen and in too much pain. My recovery was unusually rough. Now here I am at 12 weeks and the pain is nominal and my wife and I are really enjoying and thankful for the return to PIV sex. Still some discomfort but continuing to get better.
How far into the glans are your tips ? 1/2 way ? 3/4 way ?

About 3/8 inch from the tip is the tip of the implant.

Re: Slow progress?
Everyone heals at different rates.
Some of that just reflects how your body works, but also reflects how the surgery went. Many of us have tissue atrophy, scaring and fibrosis which are the result of longer term ED, long term use of injectables etc. When an individual has those things, the surgeon may have be more aggressive in making space for the implants, leading to more trauma that takes more time to heal. You’re going to be ok, hang in there!

Re: Slow progress?
Osprey_1, that's about the same as mine, and FWIW, it's worked out ok for me so far. I do have engorgement of the glans during PIV sex, which seems, temporarily, to make the tips a little bit lower in the glans. So maybe they're positioned right where they need to be ?

Re: Slow progress?
Healing takes time. I attempted sex with the husband at week 7 (I think) and it was WAY too soon - sex started getting better at the two month mark - and now at 4 months is pretty normal.
48yo gay married male - Size before cancer / ED = 7.5" x 6.25" (current 5.5x5.2). AMS 700 CX implanted 12/9/24. 18cm + 1cm RTE and 18cm + 2cm RTE.

Re: Slow progress?
osprey it's way too soon. I had my first PIV sex at 3 months more or less. The first satisfactory PIV sex for me was at 9 months.
BTW what is the length of your implant? and pre and post-op penis size?
regarding the tip poking, this is mine, and it's bascially almost at the end of my glans when inflated
