That means if the titan fails the second one (titan) would be cover by this lifetime warranty? How much would be this more or less?

Anyone in a revision with titan was cover by this lifetime warranty?
Thanks

In the US, the Coloplast warranty for implants is limited to 10 years effective April 2022, not a lifetime. This may vary in other countries.

Very interesting document

Im curious about it. I see its for people who were implanted from 2022 not before.
Before, Im almost sure there was a lifetime guarantee, in fact it says it on Dr Eid's page and on Dr Perito im almost sure it does too.

Does this mean that at Coloplast they are realizing that the implants do not last as long and the lifetime guarantees are not profitable? Does this mean that instead of improving the lifespan of the implants it is getting worse?

Yes, lifetime warranties apply only to Coloplasts implanted before April 2022. Such warranties are marketing tactics to build a steady customer base, as seen with Rigicon, now offering lifetime warranty with their new products. When excessive replacement costs threaten profit margins after reaching steady sales, companies shift to shorter terms, to protect profits and not because of expected lifespan.

Let's look at the car world, Toyota’s 60,000 mile powertrain warranty and Hyundai’s 100,000 mile version reflect marketing image and profit strategies, with current data, not durability expectations of Hyundai engines vs Toyota engines.
