In case you need a revision could you use a traction device?
In case you need a revision could you use a traction device?
In order to maintain lenght? Any experience with it? Would it be dangerous in any way?

I remember seeing your post here and checked if anyone replied. I don't really know anything but a while ago I did find this study about the success of specifically using traction devices for 8 hours a day before a revision, and here's the positive results.

I had implant surgery 3 days ago and my surgeon told me that there was no need, nor was it helpful, to use a vacuum device before the surgery.

I used a traction device for nearly 2 months before my surgery. A Phallosan Forte (you can find info about it by searching online). I wore it 12-16 hours a day and I think I missed 2 days during that entire time. It is discreet enough to be hidden under clothes.
I also used a VED each morning for about a 20 minutes.
My surgeon doesn’t think traction or VED do anything to improve length. I didn’t know his opinion about it when I started. I found out part way through but since I wasn’t hurting anything I continued.
I’m not sure if it helped or not but it certainly didn’t seem to hurt.
My length in the VED measuresd 1/2 cm longer at the end of the weeks of traction. Hardly anything at all. But if that 1/2cm was what got the surgeon to round up to the next size, great.
Most importantly for me, I wanted to make sure I did EVERYTHING possible to have the best outcome. I didn’t want to have any regret afterwords.
Wearing the traction for that length of time was a hassle. A minor inconvenience all the time. It doesn’t hurt at all (the tension is gentle although constant) but had to be taken off and put back on every time you had to take a piss. No quickly stepping up to a urinal.
My surgery went great. I’m immediately right back at my preop size. But I have no idea if the traction/VED can be credited for that or not.

Some details would be helpful. Your age? If you asked him this well before or after the surgery?

I am 53.5 years old, an excellent surgeon. Of course I asked before the surgery. My implant is AMS700LGX. I read here There are surgeons who say it helps. Ask AI?

Did you doctor tell you there's "no need" to use a VED, or did he say there's absolutely no reason to? I think for just about everyone in their 50s their dick isn't quite as big as it was when they were 22, even if it's just barely a cm or two smaller. It's a natural result of aging and ED leading to fibrosis. You maybe didn't "need" to because your implant will 100% work and solve any erection problems, but using a VED would've made it bigger.
I didn't know about VEDs before mine, and I first asked my doctor about a month after surgery when he activated it. He told me that it wouldn't do me any good, but he missed that it wouldn't do me any bad either. He was also about to retire and I don't think his advice was current.

This is true for anything that can improve blood circulation, exercise, healthy eating and of course not smoking.

Yeah, when I consulted with Hakky, he specifically wanted me to do 2 months of VED to maximize size and help with recovery after the op.

Indeed, I'm scheduled for surgery with Dr. Hakky in October, and he told me to use the VED aggressively from now until then. I already use one when having sex or masturbating, so I was ahead of the curve I guess. But I'm using it now a couple of times a day regardless of other activities.
Personally I think it does help, I can feel & see the difference in stretched length when I use it vs. not for a day or two.
BTW I also started fairly daily doses of Amino Acids that promote blood flow:
2 grams L-Arginine
3 grams L-Citrulline
5 grams Creatine
And I think those are having positive benefits as well.
58yo in good shape looking at Coloplast Titan. Tri-Mix still works but is a drag.
