Implant planned on 30/04/25 (Belgium)

Hi all,

I'm writing this post as a blog and maybe a help for someone who's having my same difficulties and to get any advice from people who already did get implanted.

I'm a 46 years old man with erectile disfunction (ed) since some 3 years. It all began with loss of some rigidity and went all way down until no morning erections at all. I've tried Cialis and spedra and it worked at the beginning but it's now difficult to get an erections even with them. In the meanwhile lost some length and girth. (I'm now doing ved pump to recover). My actual size is 17cm in length and +- 16cm in girth (but not getting any extra since 2 weeks).

After I decided to react I searched a lot about solutions and went to an urologist who prescribed an echography with injection of erectile drug. This revealed a venous leakage. Doctor proposed a surgery to fix it but I rod, that it barely never functions and if it's a success, it lasts 6 months to 1 year and then leakage reappears. So I decided to not do it.

I went then by 2 specialists in penile implant. The first proposed a Ams the second a Coloplast Titan.

I'm planned for the intervention with the second (Coloplast) this 30/04. Today i went to meet anesthesist and nurse for pre-op exams.

I rod a lot about this operation and hope that I will not lose too much in length and overall in girth but my first wish is to get a pi that works as expected. It seems that with that bionic thing on, sex is just like a pornstar so I'm a little bit impatient to be in 3 months.

Some questions for you guys:

If anyone with average same girth and length could tell me how much he lost and recovered after how much time?

For the anesthesia, my surgeon proposes to do a rachidial anesthesia (like women giving birth), i'll be awake but feel nothing. It's a little bit stressing, do you had total anesthesia or the same as proposed by my surgeon?

Did you get a second local long lasting anesthesia while operation ? (The surgeon asked me if i want to try as a study is going on on this second anesthesy that should reduce the quantity of other meds to take while the recovery (pain reduce). What's your advice ?

Is the one touch pump realy silent or does it makes the duck sound as the previous one?

What's the difference between coloplast titan and xxl girth size? I saw that xxl is for 24 cm and + but i find only the girth for the "classic" of 21mm is the xxl just oversized in length or is it also oversized in girth?

Thanks guys, i'm waiting to join you in your broderhood!

Try to get a venous leak ligation. I know someone who did find it worked

Yeah that's what they proposed me but it's like postpone the problem for a short amount of time. So i wasn't conviced to do it.

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if anyone could give me an approximate length of the internal part of the penis.
I'm trying to guess what cylinder size I'll get so if while operation I can tell if it seems not be good

Everyone's internal (proximal) measurement is different and it's not something you can measure yourself.
I think it would be impossible to predict cylinder size unless there is some type of pre op scan for the proximal measurement.
Also, unless the procedure is under local anaesthetic you won't know what is happening. Even under a local I doubt that you would be able to know if something wasn't right unless they told you. I'm assuming you have a good surgeon, best to trust them to size you correctly. They will usually take the distal and proximal measurements on the table, and with the implant rep choose the correct cylinder length for your anatomy. If it's any help my distal and proximal were 11 cm and 10 cm, but I can't recall which way around without finding the paperwork. I think that's a fairly average size (not big).

Ok thanks, I asked this because I rod a comment about a formula allowing to have an idea of it. But it all depends on the silhouette of the guy I guess too. If you're skinny there wil be less fat so proximal will be shorter.

It's a rachidian anesthesia, I'm little nervous about that as I'll be awake the whole time of surgery...

I'm sure you'll be fine Nico. You will possibly feel some pulling and pushing but should have no pain during the procedure.
I was knocked out for my implant, but a couple of years ago had plastic surgery - a small skin graft on my face.
That was under local anesthesia and I could feel what the surgeon was doing, but no pain at all.

I don't think body fat will affect the proximal measurement. For the overall length they are measuring along the cavernosal and bulbar urethral areas, which are internal well below any fat layers. You may be thinking of apparent visual distal (external) length. External fat layers can make the penis "look" shorter, but the actual length is a fixed thing no matter what body type you have. I'm curious about the formula you read about though. Where did you see it?

Thank you. I rod it here on ft but don't remember who posted it but it was something like a ratio of 1/3 proximal 2/3 distal.
